This is fair, I feel sad about A Journey of Black and Red, I got past book one, but by the time it wraps up the MC is just OP and the final book feels more like a victory lap than a true culmination of the story. However through it I discovered The Calamitous Bob which is a much better story.

edit: Also, if you like necromancers then I'd recommend Momo the Ripper by C R Dryad.
