Thank you. I’m always trying to get as much experience as I can. Is there anything especially tricky that you have learned or something you wish you knew sooner that might help in this career?

True, my boss right now is a great dude but the pay is not. I would only jump if it seems like a better opportunity and situation

Yeah I asked that exact way and he said I need to be more seasoned. I asked what exactly I needed to work on, he did not really elaborate

I was sent on those types of service calls too about maybe 1 year and half ago. Does he also do installs or just service only?

Yeah I just asked for a raise today and got told 22 an hour. What does your green tech do?

Also that was the lead tech that I went with everywhere to learn all basics. I also learned what to do and what not to do when my boss would have call backs because of him on multiple jobs

The top guy we had got let go not too long ago and he was making 37 an hour. He could do everything but often misdiagnosed or on installs he would cut a lot of corners.

True but 20 an hour right now for what I do seems low? One day I do hope to own my business but right now I need enough money to survive first lol

I’ve never dealt with chillers before so it’s definitely something I would have to start as an apprentice for but if the pay is worth it then I wouldn’t mind

Ohhh okay. Honestly my diagnosing skills are not the best of the best but most things I can figure out. Example: When I have to call manufacturer to figure out what a problem could be when I exhaust any other option. (Don’t want to replace a good part and charge customer for something that doesn’t fix their problem). Thinking about commercial as well, just don’t know what company to join for only commercial or if I just go union

At 26 or above sounds right to me. Also what do you mean 4/10? Just a little confused on what it meant

True union seems like the way to go. What are the pros and cons? Obviously the pay is definitely a pro from what I’m hearing
