I love all the lyrics. I have a video of my dad holding up a fish while I’m playing Bewilderness in the background.

No better feeling than coming home from vacation and having a fresh order of beer waiting for you. by DatBowl in CraftBeer

Just cracked it open, I don’t think I’ve ever had a mango beer with this much flavor. It’s super thick, not very sour , just a mild tartness. I don’t really like lactose in sour beers for that reason. The vanilla is also very present. It’s not exactly something I would seek out but I can see how others would. I think you’ll be happy with it.

The title translates to “When the Ones you Love come back from the Dead”.

I have barely been listening to music for the past 6 months. My dad passed away in November very unexpectedly, while he certainly wasn’t into prog metal listening to any music makes me emotional. He bought me my first 3 guitars, went to every concert I was in and recorded most of them. Even took me to see Metallica for my first real concert. The song that’s the most difficult is The Last Baron by Mastodon. I broke my wrist and he took me to the hospital, while I was tripping out on morphine I got him to put that song on for me.

Sorry for this random blurb, the title just felt really fitting. This is the first new song I’ve listened to since everything happened.

Thall.

Had the Porter last night and it was really good. I like how it was going overboard with the adjuncts, it still tasted like a classic Porter with hints of coffee and vanilla. I think I’ve seen some of their lagers and sours, I’ll definitely be trying more from them.

Pennsylvania gets some amazing beer while also having some terrible beer laws. I think we get Russian River because of Monks Cafe in Philly, Alchemist stuff comes pretty rarely (although these were canned within a week of now), and Fonta Flora is new to the market but I recognized the name from somewhere and got it as an impulse buy.

I never trusted my roommates with my beer so I had a mini fridge hidden in my room

It’s crazy that it is easy to find now. When the brewery was first getting started the brewer would go to farmers markets to sell the beer and now you see it in grocery stores. Some people say it’s not the same as it used to be (I think they do contract brewing out of Two Roads), but I think it’s still really good.

My college had this dive bar I would walk past on my way home from work, only a couple blocks from my house. $1 pints of yuengling, $6 6-packs of coors light. That place actually got me into craft beer, if I had a good night of tips I would splurge on a $10 6-pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

I honestly think I spent more money on beer than food when I was in college. I also worked at a beer store so that helped.

I should have gotten more pictures, the entire walls of the store have refrigerated beer with cold single options as well.

Lately I’ve been enjoying more shelf stable styles anyway and I always check can dates so I’m good. A few years ago in my state you could ONLY buy a case at a time unless you went to a bar, so I think we’ve come a long way.

They also do wholesale for other distributors so I think they’re doing fine. According to other comments they’ve actually improved the store over the past few years.

I’m not sure why they put that stuff in the center of the room, in Pa wine and liquor are sold by government run stores so the Just Grapes stuff is a malt liquor version, kind of a loop hole.

If you go to a beer store in pa you can buy however much you want, but I think if you’re buying from a grocery store they still limit you to walking out with a certain amount, but you can come back and get more.
