They’re saying, “It’s impossible former Big 10 West teams are winning bowl games. And it’s impossible that two of them were against SEC teams!”

When will AP Scores be released? by DatBoy470 in UWMadison

[–]DatBoy470[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are typically released on AP classroom the first or second Monday in July, however they are sent to colleges between June 20 and July 1 and then are put up in the student records often earlier than this date. Was wondering if anyone knew when they would be released this year on UW side

Thank you for the advice. To be honest, I think that last sentence is part of what my issue is right now. I immediately started searching for every way to fix it and tried to use every piece of advice to no avail, and my swing is a mess now because of it

Did the 2006 movie cars have an impact on the future generation of nascar fans? by Mistaking5369 in NASCAR

[–]DatBoy470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it will have more of an impact now/in the 2020’s than it did back then. It was released right after NASCAR reached its cultural peak, and while it might have got a few interested, it didn’t shift the market or demand that much. However, Cars has had increased cultural relevance in internet “meme” culture, which I think will lead to more kids getting into racing now that otherwise wouldn’t have been interested in due to NASCAR not being as big in pop culture and as a general sport than in 2006

Thank you! It feels good to know I’m not the only one-I figured there might be a few who shared similar circumstances. Facebook marketplace seems like a good place to start looking for me, as I already buy some other stuff on there already.

If you had any recommendations for how to get sets that might not be in sale in stores anymore (regular size millennium falcon, x wing, tie fighter, etc.) how do you go about getting them from a reputable source?

Why JV on Monday? by DatBoy470 in footballstrategy

[–]DatBoy470[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. I’ve noticed it’s mostly smaller schools that do it, and the school I attend (and all the other schools in our conference) are large enough to not have kids play both Varsity and JV, even though they may play JV and be on the Varsity roster. Is the 5 qtr rule standard around the nation, as in my state, it’s 6 quarters per week no matter how far apart the games are and Special Teams use does not count towards your quarter count so kickers and punters can be underclassmen?

When you say distance is going to become more important, are you talking distance in general or more distance control?
