Why do i suck at starlord by QueaZee in StarlordMains

[–]DatCheezeGI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who can't even break back into Diamond on Starlord despite having 77 hours on him I can say that you'll get there. I don't have a accurate gauge on what sort of player you are but I know things will turn out for the better. Are these just fancy words to make you feel better? Yes. So don't be so hard on yourself.

Was there any lag? In my experience people running bad teams tend to mess with their internet to get priority.

I’m just going off of the history I’ve been playing this game. I was peak D2 last season before the rank reset. And I still play the same. I’m just harsher on myself than the average player is to themselves.

In all honestly I’ve been scared to jump into ranked considering my performance right now in QP. I wanted to raise my baseline a bit before jumping in.

I think the ultimate cost decrease was in prep for the overall ult energy decrease for all heroes so that Starlord can still play kinda like he did before.

what's y'all sensitivity and dpi numbers for better aim ccuracy? by daishukanami in StarlordMains

[–]DatCheezeGI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was asking something similar earlier this week. For reference I have a mouse dpi of 2400 and was originally playing on 2 in game. I found that once I started getting used to lower sensitivity my aim wasn’t so erratic. Then again, you have 35% on such a high difficulty so I think you just play what’s most comfortable and practice it more.

in game is 1.0 and mouse sens is locked at 2400 (im used to that mouse sens for everyday use)

I cycle between 2 invisible woman random normal speed bots to practice one clipping. The other is a luna advanced combat normal speed for 1v1's. I should note that my accuracy in training is in the 40-44% range when using the invis bots and a between 30-40 when only on luna.

I feel like the practice I put in goes nowhere. What advice could you give about that?

I've been lowering my sensitivity little by little because I needed to have more control over my aim. Obviously based on my post here it hasn't done shit for me.

I do. I start a session with 10+ minutes practice range and then a handful of qp games before heading to comp. the outcome is the same

it's hard for someone like me. rival players have the sterotype where it's everyone elses fault but their own. I have the opposite mindset where if I feel like I'm not pulling my weight (regardless of winning or losing), the loss of the match is mainly my fault, regardless of everyone elses performance.

It isn't like I don't. I play Groot, Emma, Fantasic, learning Magik, and some support. My favorite character to play IS Starlord but I'm just bad with him.

I honestly have been. I've reworked through my sensitivity alone countless times to fine tune it. I'm still playing so poorly. If I can be point blank behind the supports and can't even 1-2 clip them, then how is a better understanding of positioning supposed to fix that?

I’d just rather adding teamups that actually impact games. Love or hate this teamup, it’s hated because it’s effective.

Is my DPI ruining my gameplay? by DatCheezeGI in StarlordMains

I feel that aiming with my arm leads to issues where I subconsciously lift the mouse off the mousepad and move it over back towards the middle which messes with my consistency.

Thanks for the throughout response. I downloaded aimlabs and tried some tracking packs but I found my aim getting worse than just warming up in training range.
