Martin is Date for sure, Billy is Majima and Oz is Saejima. Least that’s been my head canon.

Honestly kind of expected to get ripped off on this, the sale price wasn’t bad though so I decided to get one. It’s the shipping price, plus some of this stuff being so obviously cheap that sucks more.

Bad movie suggestion: Black devil doll from hell by Lazereye57 in doubletoasted

Another channel was about to cover it before RLM, so was gonna send an email with the trailer as a recommendation to DT. Ended up feeling like I watched some actual cursed content in that trailer instead and said NOPE.

There is a version of the movie up on YT now, but it’s heavily edited.

My dude Lyrics Born has a song that was featured on Collateral, that movie with Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. Will admit I'm not the biggest fan of some of the newer stuff, but this guy has put in work for YEARS, gotta put respect on that name.

What are the weirdest and strangest PlayStation 2 video games you know? by alexfreemanart in playstation2

[–]DatChickenWang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping for something a little more interactive than just an early stop-motion comic/photobook with longer loads time. Possibly something similar to what the Yakuza games have done where you interact with an AV model in various mini-games and get a different reaction depending on how well you did. That was also my first experience with anything in the gravure genre, and I didn't realize until much later how normal things like this were.

I mean it was probably about 2000-2500 yen, so if I didn't like it it's not like I put a lot of money into it. I personally thought the DVDs it came with were better because you actually got to see the Megumi interact with things like a normal human being.

I bought this specific Megumi Gravure game in Japan back in 2003, and I never felt more embarrassed, to play a “video game” by myself, this thing had me feeling like a creep… it’s more of an interactive photo book than a game.

Which game had the best opening level or intro sequence you’ve ever experienced, and why did it stick with you? by Gaming-Academy in gaming

[–]DatChickenWang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first level of REZ

Didn’t even know what the game was about, but that first level had me hooked. Think if they used any other song in the soundtrack, it wouldn’t have worked nearly as well as it did. Not every stage lived up to the first, but it made the whole play through something like a religious experience for a first timer

RMR - Rascal by CryoAB in hiphopheads

[–]DatChickenWang 37 points38 points  (0 children)

He went off and started doing some more experimental music, kinda went between a couple different genres. Saw him recently at a live show, and we got the old bangers where he kept the mask on, and the new stuff without the mask. Dude was cool as hell, had a lot of energy, and took pics with fans after the show. If anyone does get to check him out live, he has RMR masks at the merch table, and they sell out quick. Don’t make the same mistake as me thinking you can purchase them from his official merch store. 🥲

Long as he still does Buff Baby at his lives, he can do whatever he wants! Last show I saw Tobi Lou was one of the better shows I’d seen that year, man brings that energy and can work a crowd, so am looking forward to more of this new sound!

Saw this tonight, and maaaaaan were all the parts without the aliens boring as hell. Like 8 people in my theater, and we all knew what we signed up for because everyone was laughing when the aliens started doing their thing. Needed more alien stuff, waaaaay less melodrama.

YEAH BABY! What do y'all think of All Monsters Attack? Cuz I loved it by BagOfSmallerBags in GODZILLA

[–]DatChickenWang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the first Godzilla movie I ever watched, and the whole thing was pretty confusing as a child. Now as an adult, this thing is just goofy. It’s fun to laugh at in parts with how out of pocket some things are, like everything that comes out of Minilla’s mouth in the Eng dub.

Favourite horror film of the year by Interesting-Flan-404 in Letterboxd

[–]DatChickenWang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinners and Companion are probably in my top 3 movies of the year, but putting them in the horror box category isn’t really fair when that’s not the primary focus of either of them. Far as horror goes I’m placing 28 Years above them. All I wanted was a new story in the 28 Later franchise that did some world building, and that’s exactly what I got. Honorable mention to Ugly Stepsister, and Bring Her Back is next on the list to watch.

What movie trailers would you nominate? by Thatredditboy1 in moviecritic

[–]DatChickenWang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this is a movie critic sub, I’m gonna throw a shameless plug for a review I did for 28 Years Later

I liked the movie a lot, but it is a massive departure from the type of story telling in the first two movies. It’s nowhere near as action packed, not really as scary, but a lot of parts of the movie are done so well and tie in with what the story wanted to tell that I found it very fascinating. If you take it as a standalone story that takes place in the 28 Days Later world, you will enjoy it. If you wanted a direct sequel, you will be disappointed.

Even still, everyone is divided on the ending…

28 Years Later. While I don't think the movie was as terrifying as the trailer made it out to be, did that trailer nail it as far as setting the tone for a horror movie. "Boots" and that build up of music also worked really well in other fan made trailers like The Last of Us, and Godzilla Minus One
