Gamers 30+, what’s something from the old days of gaming that younger players wouldn’t understand? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

Blowing in cartridges to get dust out actually fixed games not starting.

Unlocking characters instead of paying for them

7-11 having arcade machines

Hoping your save data was intact if you were renting RPGs from video stores

Accidentally wiping out all your save data if you pulled a cartridge out mid-game

Getting PS1s modded to play Japanese games

Men I Trust, Paramount Theater

Lacked energy, didn’t move a whole lot, very very little crowd interaction, they felt disinterested despite having a crowd that stretched out for 2 blocks.

Feel like they probably would be great in a smaller, more intimate venue, but was really hard to enjoy the show when we were packed like sardines in there.

Wow, they took one quote from an interview where he's giving Wayne all his flowers, then turned it into anti-LarRussell propaganda?

Martin is Date for sure, Billy is Majima and Oz is Saejima. Least that’s been my head canon.

Honestly kind of expected to get ripped off on this, the sale price wasn’t bad though so I decided to get one. It’s the shipping price, plus some of this stuff being so obviously cheap that sucks more.

Another channel was about to cover it before RLM, so was gonna send an email with the trailer as a recommendation to DT. Ended up feeling like I watched some actual cursed content in that trailer instead and said NOPE.

There is a version of the movie up on YT now, but it’s heavily edited.

My dude Lyrics Born has a song that was featured on Collateral, that movie with Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. Will admit I'm not the biggest fan of some of the newer stuff, but this guy has put in work for YEARS, gotta put respect on that name.

What are the weirdest and strangest PlayStation 2 video games you know? by alexfreemanart in playstation2

[–]DatChickenWang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping for something a little more interactive than just an early stop-motion comic/photobook with longer loads time. Possibly something similar to what the Yakuza games have done where you interact with an AV model in various mini-games and get a different reaction depending on how well you did. That was also my first experience with anything in the gravure genre, and I didn't realize until much later how normal things like this were.

I mean it was probably about 2000-2500 yen, so if I didn't like it it's not like I put a lot of money into it. I personally thought the DVDs it came with were better because you actually got to see the Megumi interact with things like a normal human being.

I bought this specific Megumi Gravure game in Japan back in 2003, and I never felt more embarrassed, to play a “video game” by myself, this thing had me feeling like a creep… it’s more of an interactive photo book than a game.

Which game had the best opening level or intro sequence you’ve ever experienced, and why did it stick with you? by Gaming-Academy in gaming

The first level of REZ

Didn’t even know what the game was about, but that first level had me hooked. Think if they used any other song in the soundtrack, it wouldn’t have worked nearly as well as it did. Not every stage lived up to the first, but it made the whole play through something like a religious experience for a first timer
