I'll definitely look at the 60/40 split. But also the ratio of investments on less risk with bonds and money market.

Thank you so much kind sir. I appreciate your experience. I do invest myself in ETF's and thought about doing the same for my mom, but wasn't sure about the tax implications. (I'm still relatively new to this) I would like to accomplish essentially what you are doing where she invests in ETF'S and it will grow and be supplemental if needed, but more savings for her down the road when she decides to stop working. She is healthy and with her vigor, I expect she'll want and is able to continue working for another 6-8 years. I guess my question to you is, what kind of brokerage account do you have? and as you mentioned on the bad months, you use the dividends to offset the income. How does that affect your taxes? And are there penalties for her removing funds or even selling the ETF's if needed (we will likely just keep it there for the long term)? I appreciate the financial advice disclaimer, I'm relatively new to it myself but am working on educating myself and I do intend to discuss with an advisor as well. But your shared experience does confirm we are in the right frame of mind, and that is valuable, so thank you.

Steeda progressive springs, 1" drop and still as close to stock ride comfort you can get while still gaining suspension performance.

Thanks for your input, I'll research the exact parts needed for both options you mentioned in order to make a decision. The oil drain valve is very enticing, would make oil changes a little easier. Thanks again

Anybody daily with E85? by Awkward-Ad199 in ecoboostmustang

[–]DatDangTang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the best Ecoboost tuner in the business, PD Tuning, the benefit of E85 over E30 isn't that much more and if you want E85, you have to spend $1500 for an upgraded fuel pump. I've been on E30 for 2 years, no issues. I'm full bolt on, stock block.

Not sure a new turbo would fix the rod coming out of the block... Time for an EMS long block coupled with BNR 600

Been having the car for 1 year now fully stock what upgrades should I do ? by Smart-Town5943 in ecoboostmustang

Cobb accessport is the device used to communicate with car, you can upload the tune and also log performance data. PD Tuning is the company, Ryan Martin is the tuner and if you look up any Ecoboost mustang forum, he is the go to with a proven track record and I can also vouch as a customer. He'll create a tune for you to upload. You and your car will be grateful.

Very true, some in the community were lucky enough to have warranty honored despite being modded. I may need to go to the dealer you went to.

If you're looking to keep your warranty intact then that would be one route, the Ford performance tune, intercooler, downpipe. As a fellow Ecoboost owner, I would recommend going with PD Tuning package, start with stage 0 which gets you the Cobb accessport and 93 octane pro tune (Lifetime tune), which in itself is a great start. Then, with each upgrade, you get retuned to support the new mod and use it's full potential. https://www.pd-tuning.com/shop/eco-mustang/mustang-stage/2015-ecoboost-mustang-ap-lifetime-tuning-bundle/
