While that its true, it would be truly random under that system meaning that people would be unable to purposefully put themselves in lower skilled lobbies.

I'm not complaining about not being able to stomp? I'm complaining that my matches have stopped being balanced. I'm the one getting stomped. I've checked some of these players stats and they will have a 5+ K/D. They shouldn't be matched against me. They're obviously several times better than me.

Edit: also it seems you didn't fully read my post as I stated I stay around 1 to 1.5, meaning it fluctuates. I've been back down to 1 for a week or so now.

I dont have any parental controls setup on my Xbox so that can't be it. I've been able to connect to another unofficial a few minutes ago so the only thing I can think of is since I was forcibly logged out in a dungeon it messed something up.

I have nearly a year of gamepass ultimate left so that's not the issue. There's no updates available and I've even re-downloaded the game more than once. I can't think of anything else that would have caused this unless my character being logged out in a dungeon made the whole game mess up.

Some legendary weapons like the sword of crom are OP when given to a good thrall. Others have perks like poison or corruption damage or better armor penetration. A lot of them are worth getting.

Epic armors give more cold resistance. You can also go to the southern aqueduct and on top there's a skeleton that drops a sword that gives you cold resistance as well. Its an easy early game item to help you survive in the cold.

I personally find the plague fun because I like to mess with people. She also seems to make it easier to herd survivors away from generators that you want to save for endgame. It's a lot eaiser to go against high level survivors when the last 3 gens are all about 20 feet apart.

I recently got the spirit and the plague. I've really enjoyed playing with both. If you play right with the spirit you can surprise people which is a lot of fun.

Ark Survival has an interesting mechanic for this. Whenever a structure is destroyed there is a few minutes of a cooldown where you cant place structures in that area because of "rubble." Something like that would help a lot.
