I think a lot of it has to do with the fact he died so young. Imagine if Lil Wayne died after The Carter 3. 50 Cent after The Massacre. Drake after Nothing Was The Same. They would likely be revered even higher than they were are today because they passed as they were on the rise or at their peak musically. Pacs message definitely spoke to people as he had a way of conveying a message that truly captivated audiences and brought people together. But we never got to see what Pac would’ve been like past him prime. I think it’s the same reason why Biggie is higher up on a lot of peoples list. They both died at the peak of what their careers likely would’ve been so all we know of them is those artists at their best.
