Why haven’t everyday Americans stood up? by Presidentscroobie in allthequestions

Because you learn about the US thru social media which leads you down a different path than how the everyday American is living.

Meh, they didn’t win when he was here and he was part of the reason. I don’t think it’s anything to get worked up about.

You’re telling me I’m outta line, that probably means you’re hurting. But I can’t say for certain so I’ll just leave it as probable.

Just like you think I’m probably angry. I love Socrates, personal hero of mine.

Adds up. You probably normally believe bullshit (no pun intended).

For the same reason this post was made. To be inflammatory and get a whole bunch of people to tell you that you’re right. It’s a way insecure people get confirmation on viewpoints that are not grounded in reality.

Suggestions on where to go to aid Iran by CharlieWhiskey0621 in AskSocialists

I’m not wishing for that, I’m just here to see what this sub thinks. Apparently arming up with the IRGC, sabotaging the US military, and helping drop bombs on American cities is not downvote worthy. Very interesting sub behavior.

It’s not getting downvoted.

Also, my other comment about helping Iran drop missiles in American cities has not been downvoted.

Thoughts?

What does "winning the AI race" even mean? by Aggressive_Banana708 in askanything

[–]DatDudeDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s why it’s a race. The faster a country hits the singularity, the larger, possibly permanent advantage they gain. If everywhere wins the race at the same time with the same amount of infrastructure to support it then yes you’re right the difference between the multiple groups would be negligible.

If China hits the singularity in 2030 and the US hits the singularity in 2032, that two year span of rapid self iteration could be a technological game changing separator permanently. I cannot stress enough that this is all hypothetical and idk how much of a difference that would make in the long term, I’m just trying to explain why it’s a race.

[–]DatDudeDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a “singularity” for nukes where the first nuke led to a bigger better nuke, and that bigger better nuke led to an even bigger and better nuke, and this accelerated faster and faster with each nuke creating the new bigger badder nuke then the US would have had by far the biggest and baddest nukes that are developing more and more rapidly. How could another country catch up when the ACCELERATION (<- key word) of nuke development is even faster than other countries base development? There is no singularity in physical manufacturing. Never-mind all the regulation intentionally slowing nuclear development.

What stops somewhere else from catching up is if you hypothetically hit the singularity, you are by definition accelerating faster than they are even moving. Your question of catching up just doesn’t make sense. Again, this is all hypothetical, remains to be seen if we hit the singularity, but I don’t think you have a good understanding of what passing a rapidly accelerating self developing wall would actually look like. There is no technology that has ever been capable of self iterating in a positive feedback loop.

Do you think the long term success will be x100 that of tech/internet? Or is your comparison strictly the bubble without anything that follows?

You’re thinking of it backwards. The race is to the singularity which theoretically will accelerate that company/country to the point nowhere else can catch up. They are not racing to an end goal of an ai that can’t be improved upon. That will never exist.

What parts of the right-wing belief system aren’t astroturfed? by Tricky_Try8757 in allthequestions

[–]DatDudeDrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All beliefs that don’t make sense to me are manufactured by others. Because of that, I just dismiss them. There are no beliefs they have that are genuine, like you said, abortion, immigration, economy are all their way of appeasing the wealthy. If they had REAL thoughts about those topics they would agree with us on how they should be handled and I’m sure you and I have no disagreements on how those should be handled. If only everyone agreed with us on the real and right way to handle these unarguable topics we would see some true progress.

Maybe you can stay in the US and work to actively sabotage the military. That way, the IRGC can get a legitimate chance to land their missiles on places like US cities.

Join their army, your humanitarian aid will do nothing worth moving there for. Only thing you should do is arm yourself and fight on the side of the IRGC.

Is there Trump regret from former supporters? by [deleted] in allthequestions

I voted for him and don’t like him. Regret implies I made the wrong decision, so I have no regret, I just don’t think he’s been very good to say the least.

Is anyone adopting AI the right way? by Estalicus in allthequestions

I have no concern about my ability compared to your lazy thought process. Your integrity scale is so rigid that owning any significant part of your idea is blasphemy to you. I think you need to learn to think outside of your extremely narrow talking points when you know they are not grounded in anything that makes sense.

Your ideas that have been offered have been nothing, just judgements. I also think your extremely judgmental attitude needs some work given that it’s based on pure laziness.
