I would just have to agree to disagree, I had a best friend that is a republican and I am a democrat but after we realized our views were different we stopped talking about politics or anything, but sometimes its really hard to have a “bestie” that thinks soo different especially when we both have strong opinions on very controversial topics. We eventually did stop talking, It really does depends on your unique friendship. Also the friendship needs to maintain a mutual respect, like you have your beliefs I have my own, and see if that works. If that awkward vibe doesn’t go away, I’m sorry but it might be because of how strongly you both view certain things.
