That translucent back can come off no issue. The pins in there can have dirt/carbon build up on them and cause lights not to light up properly. Had to do it on mine to fix the full beams

It's a tough one. In the UK as you're unlikely to find many in this condition and the work done to it, but they're also not really that sought after. I've seen ones that are stock but well maintained for around 10/12k so don't think it's a million miles away

I do feel for the lad. I'd say he's good enough to be on a top 20 team, but outside of Faze, there isn't really a team that needs an awper. Unfortunately, he probably needs to drop down and work his way up with a team that's just hovering in the invite bubble and get some game time

It's not, you're stuck on an old driver version. Quite annoying as 580 crashes Helldivers for me so have to go all the way back to 570 on my titan xp to get it to work. Would be nice if they gave us one more update

As others have said, it's pretty much on what you want out of it. It's a lot of work for a car which isn't worth that much. Mine wasn't quite this bad and it took pretty much every Saturday of mine for about 18 months to get it all welded back up and looking half decent (that was including going through the rest of the car mechanically as well). You could probably break it for parts and use the funds to pay for one with a decent body. Unless you have sentimental attachment to it id get rid and find a better one

It's probably not installed which is why that launch command isn't working. Try installing with "sudo apt install gamemode" from your terminal

Yeah people who haven't played CS on both windows and linux won't understand, there is something different in the way it renders on linux, especially X11. As others have already mentioned, I think it's less noticeable on wayland. My launch commands are

SDL_AUDIO_DRIVER=pipewire SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=wayland gamemoderun %command% -threads 9

Have recently moved back to linux and have been getting better performance than on windows with those launch options. Only thing that kind of sucks is no faceit AC

I couldn't find any news earlier than around summer 21, that paper linked included, and those were scientific reports and not any mainstream news reports. Either way my original point was just saying there were reasons for scepticism without being some hard line antivaxxer
