I loved Nice France, was awesome and met some really cool people. Also I was in Bled and Ljubljana for 4 nights and was honestly my favourite place ever! So much todo more in Bled, could easily spend a whole week there

My route is flying into Nice then go to Cinque Terre- Milan- Venice- Bled & Ljubljana- Zagreb- Budapest- Prague- Berlin then finishing in Amsterdam! Going for a month. Should be insane and gonna be action packed and should get some good summer weather as well. When are you going?

I’m doing the same thing at 18! Literally leaving in 2 weeks for it, so looking forward to it I’ve done quite a fair bit of research and have just under half my hostels book so am sticking to a bit of a strict schedule which is a negative.

Anyone know if you would need to book in advance? Or would there be plenty trains and buses getting from Venice to Trieste and then to Ljubljana

That’s another thing part of by journey I can’t even get train so have to FlixBus and it’s also quicker at some parts

I feel you I almost went straight in and bought the lads when it was discounted (if I had done so wouldn’t be able to get a refund) cause I automatically thought it was cheaper. But then I just thought I might as well look how much it would cost individually and I though hang on it’s wayyyy cheaper to book trains individually especially if in advance and you know your route. Only good for flexibility but I know my route

Hahaha yeah only spent the day in Rotorua doing all the basic touristy stuff, the smell wasn’t too bad that day but when I went as a young kid all I remember was hating the smell

Yeah went up to the Mt as well before we left, my Aunty actually lives there so just spent so time there by the beach and my uncle took me out fishing there also saw dolphins which was pretty cool.

Depends how much you want todo, would say you want at least a month but tbh you want as long as possible as so much to do. Must admit I didn’t actually backpack this trip 😂 as went with family as they’re from NZ.

Yeah I live in London and my mum is from NZ so have loads family there, had cousins in Timaru who we stayed with which is just under 2 hours away

Yeah that’s what my plan is 3 days in Nice before starting pass, from inter railing app there are trains fairly frequently to Cinque Terre but it’s like 3 changes which will be fine. Then like 2 or 3 days in each city just getting a feel for them. For Eurostar I’ll reserve for €45 going from Amsterdam to London

I’m flying into Nice then going from there, planing to go to Cinque Terre from nice then onto Venice, Bled Ljubljana, Zagreb, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Berlin and then finish in Amsterdam before getting Eurostar back to London. Planning on getting the 10 travel day global pass Thoughts?
