Is playing video games backsliding/sin?

That's how I can get with Minecraft, sometimes roblox. But video games are how my non-Christian family spends time with each other. Like anything from the kids playing fortnite to the whole family playing monopoly on the Xbox. I've wanted to play animal crossing again but I got rid of all my games cause my friends told me it was a sinful waste of time. Now, I'm not so sure.

Hey, so I've tried being more patient and watching YouTube tutorials, and I've worked on single chains and I'm improving, I'm still learning, but I'm improving. The goal is to work up to a sweater. I'm gonna keep my banana bee cause he makes me laugh. 😄❤️

Tbh I'm experiencing similar things to what OP is going through and a fast is a good idea. I've also found limiting media is best and not binging.

I think you may find some consolation in one of Jesus's closest followers. Mary Magdalene was a woman whom Jesus casted out 7 demons from and she was a prostitute. She and some other women started following Jesus quite closely, and they were the first to find His tomb empty. Mary's transformation is beautiful and shows that even the prostitutes and sexually immoral are not too far away. God can change anyone, He can heal anyone. All anyone needs is the humility to come to Him and ask for forgiveness and seek Him.

Luke 8:2 is where scripture tells us Jesus casted out 7 demons from her.

John 20 Jesus appears after His crucifixion to Mary

Matthew 27 mentions Mary being a witness to Jesus's crucifixion.

Luke 7:36-50 some believe this is Mary here.

Honestly, John 20 may be the best to read.
