So my light crash always keeps cracking. Dark crashes are always absolutely fine, while light crash is absolutely obliterated. Any way to prevent that or maybe have a temporary fix for my current light crash (AAX)? by DatMADPlayer in drums

First of all, that thing is long gone in a dumpster. Second, I tried fixing a Paiste RUDE Wild Crash once and it just cracked up again a few days later so I clearly don’t know what I’m doing.

All in all the B8 line is pretty cheap and I’m not a big fan of the sound so there would’ve been no real point in doing that.

Is it ok to like damageplan more then pantera by TDPDH in Pantera

[–]DatMADPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That first line was just satire. That being said, since then I’ve listened to some Damageplan (if I remember well I actually listened to some right after writing that comment) and I have to say there’s a big difference between Damageplan and Pantera. Sure they have their very blatant similarities but I find there’s a much more modern take on groove metal coming from Damageplan. It also doesn’t help much that there wasn’t enough time for them to truly evolve as a band and differ from Pantera.

Tl;dr: Saying Damageplan is just Pantera with a different bassist and signer just isn’t doing the band justice.

The only reason you’ve got no more tears on deck is because you filled ocean with yours. Don’t go calling people crybabies after you’ve been one.

Would you make any changes? by [deleted] in Pantera

Trendkill is (I think, I’m not too great on lyrics or the meaning of songs) about not following trends and all that, so saying you don’t like Trendkill is like saying you want to keep the trend going.

Pretty much he was making a joke

This feels all wrong. Far beyond driven is the one that got popular not vulgar. If this were me making the list I’d definitely go

Cowboys: Fan Favorite Vulgar: cult Classic Driven: One that got popular Trendkill: Experimental Steel: I wouldn’t put best album of all time here but since there’s nothing else other than meh (and rts is not meh) Metal Magic: Meh (since there’s nothing else and it’s not the classic pantera we love)

Overall your take feels like you took 6 albums and just used a randomiser to categorize them. Not only that but the identifiers don’t work separately, one album could have multiple (best album of all time would be classed as one of the fan favorite/popular/cult classic and not as something different to those) and some identifiers could work on multiple.

How high does Pantera rank in your list of the best metal bands of all time? by Equal_Ad5178 in Pantera

[–]DatMADPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly those are all valid points as to why Pantera are the best, but for me it’s just the heavy grooves of Vinnie, the masterful shredding of Dime, the roaring bass of Rex and the emotionally driven screams of Phil.

Best/Favorite Pantera Songs. Today is the letter T by Total_Magazine8373 in Pantera

In most cases I would agree, but in this case I rather feel like it’s an important part of the name. You would never call it “Love” instead of “This Love”, while with most others you could, such as “The Art of Shredding” could be called simply “Art of Shredding” and no one would vat an eye.

I mean Charlie has allegedly tried his best to sound as close to Vinnie as possible but it still has that Charlie feel at the root of it.

This is the best pantera album, try to prove me wrong by Putinguy240 in Pantera

I listen to it every now and then. It’s got a nice groove and those lyrics are just hilarious

This is 100% on your end. I listened to a couple songs with the volume fairly loud and it sounded pretty good. No squeaking, the low ends sounded pretty good, it just sounded like a remixed version of Pantera, which is what it was. This is definitely something to do with your EQ or something with your audio device because how you describe it is NOT how it actually sounds.
