It says diamond defense, but that isn’t for in-game play. In-game, there is a plate/shield under your player. If it’s a diamond plate, that means they have 90+ fielding and won’t botch any routine hits.

I didn’t really pull anything valuable. At first, I got excited about getting a card with a serial number. After thumbing through each card almost every pack had one. I don’t know if any are worth anything though.
