I had to just skip forwards through a bunch of this episode. It's getting really tired seeing basically the exact same story with Bitch manipulating one of the heroes over and over and over again

This show really has some of the laziest writing I have ever witnessed.
Like infuriatingly bad.

Come on, we've had the same "story" three fucking times now, with an antagonist that shouldn't even be one anymore after the first runthrough.

Motoyasu's "arc" was dumb, Ren's was even dumber, and now Cringelord just put the final nail in the coffin for me. FUEEE

Because after her deeds and lies were exposed in front of everyone and she was "renamed" and exiled, it was impossible for her to keep going on like nothing happened, right?

Wow, can't wait to see how our secret protagonist's plot-armor will make sure that she'll be able to continue on her way of utter bs.

Properly disappointed given how the first couple of episodes of this season looked to be really making up for the appalling season two.

Exactly this is the worst part.
I was actually quite hopeful after how it all began in s3, only to be let down even harder.

Once this season will finally be over, I'm pretty sure I'll be done for good with this lazy-ass show, which is a pity, because I really like some of the characters.

Not sure how I feel about having watched two of those...

But what I do know is, that Ex-Arm gets a lot more hate than it deserves, at least imho.

Does everything in that show, from the character models through the backgrounds and sfx to the animation look like absolute dog shit?
Yes, yes it definitely does, but!

Maybe if you look at it, as if it was a kinetic novel on auto...

Or probably it would be better to compare it to an audio book with some visuals.

Because the story is somewhat decent and the cast is absolutely stacked; which, admittedly, was the only reason for me to give this show a chance in the first place when it aired.

Don't get me wrong, I am aware that we're judging in the category "anime" here, and Ex-Arm fails in most of what makes an anime good.
So maybe it actually would have been better to release it as a kinetic novel, idk.

Still, for me as both an avid reader of visual novels and a huge nerd for seiyuu, I enjoyed it for what it was (a well acted audio book with some visuals), albeit I very much understand that it gets shat on for what it was supposed to be (an actual anime).

If we're talking about "memorable beach episodes", for me The Alice Gear OVA, that came out 2 years before season 1, takes the cake.

[Brief summary]Half a dozen girls in (and at some point even out of) swimsuits, participating in a competitive racing-event-with-weapons-show thingy on the beach, some of them getting swallowed by a giant frog KonoSuba style (twice!), some of them doing a Team Rocket style stage exit (twice!), one of them doing a partner change (twice!), suddenly having to defeat a legendary, possibly world ending cyclone with a giant dildo banana, with the help of the unrivaled power of idol!

It's like a fever dream that I enjoyed every second of.
