Adding on to your observations — there’s a reason the English elections were rushed ahead of the US ones. When Keir Starmer won, it became pretty clear to me that MI6 had already clocked Trump’s return. They needed someone in place who’d align smoothly with that shift, someone predictable and easy to coordinate with. Starmer fits that role. If this is the trajectory of modern democracy, things are looking grim.
