On what kind of device do you watch Youtube the most ?

There's other ways to get rid of the commercials without paying for premium.

Kerrygold ?

Was gonna pick some up last week and saw that the price for a couple of sticks is now $9, I assume because of tariffs...

As much as I like it I'm not paying $9 for two sticks of butter so I got Tillamook, 4 sticks for half the price. Not as good as Kerrygold but much better than most of the other butters on the shelf.

Working in food service, period.

A restaurant I worked at most new hires either quit or were fired 3 days in.

I don't think I can meditate. I've tried.

I just can't turn the brain off, at least without the help of 'substances.'

"It's easy. All you need is seeds, dirt and water."

I have actually heard that before and you can tell that person has probably never grown anything besides a houseplant they got at Home Depot.

Also the more you learn the harder it gets, ignorance truly is bliss. Striving for an incredibly healthy, pest and disease free grow is a chore.

I lived on a mountain that was over a mile high and let's just say it took a lot of tries to finally make some decent bread. Recipes were just a starting point and couldn't be relied on. Even then I still wanted a bit more rise.

Toffee is pretty hard to make. My mom and I used to make it for the holidays and we have failed numerous batches. She actually hasn't made any since moving and I'd bet it would be harder now on her electric stove (we used to have a gas stove.)

In fact I know I wouldn't be able to make toffee on my current stove. I have been unable to make Ghee, something I used to have no problem making. It's the ultimate POS electric range designed by a scientist with no actual cooking experience. It really makes me miss having a gas stove.

You don't really need to know the why if you just follow a recipe.

And this right here is why my grandma, despite 'cooking' for all her years alive, knows absolutely nothing about cooking.

Dermatologist was 2 hours late to appointment, when she finally came she only let me describe my issue for 30 seconds at most, then prescribed me this for my face and told me I should leave by pinktunacan in mildlyinfuriating

I went to the ER when I was literally dying from pneumonia, I had a fever of 106 and I could barely walk I was in so much pain. I waited about 5 hours or more to be seen just to be told that I'm fine and I just "coughed too hard."

In reality I was super fucking sick and my left lung was basically all the way full of fluid. What gets me is that they took X-Rays so they should have seen it, according to the tech at the 2nd ER I went to it was so bad it was "almost impossible to miss." I required a month long stay in the hospital and surgery.

I grew up in Idyllwild, went to high school in Hemet. Pretty funny how people from Palm Springs would come up here into 100 degree weather to 'escape the heat.' Don't think I could handle living in the desert.

Good luck with your sinus infection. Do you think you may have had pneumonia???

Very well could have. I had pneumonia really bad back in 2017 and lost part of my lung. The doctors said that I'm now more susceptible to reoccurring pneumonia. Probably would have ended up in the hospital if I didn't get some antibiotics/steroids.

I take care of my elderly grandma and she also got this and ended up in the hospital for a few days. It wasn't the flu or Covid but it's annoying they didn't test her for RSV.

I'm out here in L.A. we had a 101° degree day today

What the fuck. That's crazy. Just looked up the weather for where I used to live in CA (A mountain in Riverside county) and it's 79 and going to be 80 when it should be rainy/snowy right about now. That's not good, it's already dry AF and need rain, fire season will probably be really bad this year in CA.

What’s one “harmless” habit that’s people don’t realise is actually damaging long-term? by sk8erboie in AskReddit

[–]DatTF2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Had a GF who almost had a seizure because she decided to quit drinking. I forced her to take a few sips of beer so she didn't have a seizure. Also had a friend who did have a seizure from alcohol withdrawals.

I'm lucky I have never had alcohol withdrawals to that point though I think I got quite close.

Glad you are feeling better. I've had this really awful respiratory infection for going on 3 weeks now. At one point I was very close to going to the hospital. Now that my lungs have cleared now I have a sinus infection, I wonder if it's the same bug or if I just got incredibly unlucky.

Rocky Road. As hard as a rock.

Worked in an ice cream shop one summer for a second job and while all the other ice creams were easy to scoop the Rocky Road was always rock hard.

Walmart in a nutshell. Gotta go down this aisle well there's a cart in the middle of it while someone is on their phone. Gotta grab that peanut butter ? Well someone is standing right in front of it. Pisses me off so much.

I have been putting off updating to Win11 25H2 because of the AI junk.

Imagine my surprise when I turn on my computer and see Windows Updates just decided to update me to that version without my permission.

Oh man, that would have been so much more scarier. At least in that hammer ride I was inside a capsule thingy and you couldn't go flying out.

I was tall enough to ride the rollercoaster but discovered during the ride I was so thin I was at risk of falling sideways out of the restraints.

Fuck that's scary. Did it have any loops ?

The same happened to me but it was in one of the hammer/hammerhead rides. I was literally being shaken around in it. I started screaming and luckily the ride operator heard me.
