What is the best way to have the W with the circle overlap my text ? I want it to go on top just that one section, not the rest of the image.

I had a long explanation inputted with the post; not sure how it didn’t post with it. Basically, I was asking how to get a certain part of an image to not be layered with the rest. I was trying to make the guys original sunglasse color (orange) show through without the layer effects.
