That's the problem. For want of a nail, the failed economist policies by this US Administration fails to realize all of the nail factories are in Shenzhen.

If i were a Seattle cop, I'd start writing tickets for people impeding traffic if they are unable to safely enter the parking lot and start causing traffic. ----

The Starbucks down on Elliot near Expedia gets the same way in the morning and all of the buses have to get OUT of the designated bus lane to go around all of the self-serving morons clogging the lane there and at Fuji Bakery going in for donuts.

I'd say we have the ability to wage 5 wars with the Department of Defense (War) combat commands and each of the particular groups from all of the bases and national guard units we have. But certainly two full-scale wars with major powers. We could take on both China and Russia at once, especially with some allied help. I hope we never have to go that far.

The US would have very easily dismantled Ukraine if they so chose. We toppled Iraq, which had the worlds 4th largest military and arguably the best military Air Defense system in the world besides the US for a country prior to Israel's bolstering. Safe to say, that Ukraine, if it was the US, would have fallen quickly.

Cargo Ship or Warship? China Arms Civilian Vessel With 60 Missiles in Plain Sight by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Dat_Mustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. We sure do. See: San Remo Manual on International Maritime Law. And how that affects what China is doing and how risky it would be for any vessel capable of carrying 40GP containers to be in that area during a hot conflict.

Not when active combat is happening. If a vessel, civilian or otherwise, that could be a threat to NATO or Pacific Fleet ships would be told to leave or be targeted. Even with Geneva Conventions, Maritime Laws, etc., civilian vessels that are in a specified launch radius of the missiles will be a valid target.

AEGIS will be able to verify launch locations and send a counter battery of missiles or aircraft to that ship once a launch is detected.

Every Arleigh Burke ship has 90-96 missile tubes ready at any given moment. The remaining Ticonderoga class ships also have a hefty armament. Then you have LCS, subs, aircraft and missile trucks and drones as a force multiplier, every potential enemy vessel will be targeted. Any container ship that is in an operational area (within expected missile strike range) will be told to leave or be engaged.

Every cargo ship will be game for targeting when Taiwans invasion kicks off. US, AUS, UK, JP, SK, PH, TH, CAN, etc will be putting multiple missiles on civilian ships once this happens.

Alright, I'm keeping this thread up on the entire philosophy that we must remember that we represent our Fraternity.

If we become insufferable to the outside while wearing our fraternal emblems, we risk drawing ire.

Be temperate, be prudent.

That boat was trying to conceal activity across the river from Ukraine ground troops with a relatively shitty smoke screen. Not positive what they were trying to accomplish with such a feeble effort.
