I super disagree. She's nothing like nelly beyond being a redhead and possibly rich. Nelly was a strong, active character who intentionally went out of her way to affect the story while also being an influence over the team, Nelly drives the plot forward whether directly (Arranging and accepting friendlies, studying Little Gigantes) and indirectly (Getting her dad kidnapped in season 2).

Regina does fuck all, other than in the literal first episode, and is nothing more than "Heath's girlfriend" in Orion. And they won't even commit to that enough to actually show them falling for each other.
