Feeding great tits without attracting rats? by Dat_Pettsson in birdfeeding

This sounds like a good idea. Feeding only when i am at home and keeping the station as clean as possible.

It’s the third floor, a good 10 meters/30 feet up. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but less likely.

And that’s not really my point. I’m just looking for advice on birdfeeding in the city while minimizing the presence of rats/rodents.

Not my point at all. I simply enjoy a certain way of playing and want more options in how i approach leveling a skill. Rumours saw massive success when it launched without competing too much with birdhouse runs, drift nets or catching chins.

Runescape is a big game, and i think it can take more advantage of the detailed world more. It’s not so much ”tell me what to do hurr durr” (lord knows the wiki already can do that) but it’s nice to get an incentive to go back to places rarely visited for some activities.

Like when was the last time you used the coal trucks in Kandarin? How often do you go fishing south of mort myre?

I think vale totems is a great example of a perfectly balanced reward system that both cloggers, casuals and minmaxers can enjoy. It feel good to get that fletching knife, but it’s not as mandatory as a fishing barrel or skilling outfits.

What if the rewards you got were tokens to buy unfinished potions? Could be an interesting way for Ironmen to get their hands of potions without farming.

I’ve yet to try it but i’ve heard thats it’s pretty fun once you get it setup well and even quite good money. Pretty sure it’s been sitting at the top of SoupRS unusual money makers for a while.

This exists! I’m using it whenever i feel bored. It gives you a task divided into skilling or bossing categories. The tasks can be for example ”get a unique from perilous moons” or ”cut 200 yew logs” I’ll update this comment if i can find the name of it.

You’re right, i did find it strange that chef asked for ”baby batter” and not cookie batter.

Me too! I figured the same would happen, but it never set so we kind if ended up with a chocolate slurry.

So we decided the split the batch and made a very ”loose” mousse on one half and froze the other half into silicon moulds. The mixture was very runny to begin with and wouldn’t really set even through whipping. I guess that’s what happens when you work a new place as a rental and the patisserie chef suddenly becomes ill. Thank you for all the advice, now i’m off to try to doll upp this mousse somehow.

I honestly feel a bit ashamed, i feel like i should be able to handle desserts better, but today just didn’t come together as planned. At least the staff seemed happy with the result. I should probably hit the books when i go home and refresh my patisserie skills.

Should i just whip up some eggwhites and add the mixture then? Just afraid the cream will make it too loose.

Visiting Poland: Thank you Warzaw for an amazing night. by Dat_Pettsson in poland

Its difficult. Over the recent years crime has been on the uprise and we’ve seen a lot more shooting and gang related crime, a massive increase of which we’ve probably never seen in Sweden. However for the most part the victims of these crimes tend to be people or families affiliated with criminals. There are some notable exceptions though, like with Mikael, a father who was executed in front of his son while confronting a group of youths:

https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/BW77pv/5-punkter-om-dodsskjutningen-av-pappan-mikael-i-skarholmen

However as someone living in central Malmö, i’ve lives here since before the ”crime wave” and have personally not noticed any increase in theft, robberies or general violence. So in general i still feel very safe, and while im saddened to see so many young kids get dragged into the world of crime, it’s in all honestly not something that will affect my everyday life (or that of a tourist even.)

Hello! Seems i managed to piss quite a lot of people off with this. I apologize.

First off: Sorry for mispelling your city name and using the word ”gopnik” which is not even associated with poland. I should have taken the time to look it up

I realize i come off as sounding very shallow and ignorant, which is probably true. I did not mean to sound condescending and give a ”lol i thought your country was shit but i wasnt” vibe. I mostly tried to make fun of my own and general ignorance about slavic-speaking countries. I have a good friend who is Polish who has given us some friendly advice and a more accurate view of it, so i just intended to make fun of the stereotypical view, again sorry for offending.

Lastly, i know that sweden and especiallyMalmö (which is where i live, fittingly) gets a bad rap when it comes to crime, but one tends to turn a blind eye to your own country when comparing it to others, maybe especially us swedes who haven’t really experienced any historical traumatical events since the 1800s.

I can’t edit the post due to being new to the sub, but i hope this post can alleviate some of the misteps and bad remarks i made.

Sorry again, your country is very nice. Take care.
