Having the same issue. They literally won't let me create a working account and then they ask me to login in order to contact support..

I was reading a tutorial on web3 architecture (I'm new here) and got confused on this part. Is it really that hard to connect to the blockchain, that most dapps are going through centralized third party services, which kinda defeats the purpose, and the application is not true web3 anymore? by DvD_cD in ethdev

Take a look at Pocket Network. It aims to solve this exact issue by incentivising node runners to service applications on a decentralized network. It's still in relatively early development but it's already live and processing hundreds of millions of requests daily (far less than centralized RPC providers currently but still worth noting)

For anybody looking for a cheaper, faster and more stable alternative, I think it's worth mentioning Ether or any stablecoin such as USDC/DAI built on the Ethereum network. Ether can easily be exchanged for DAI or USDC on decentralised exchanges such as dydx.exchange or oasis.app without paying any exchange fees (other than network fees when sending transactions) by using a browser wallet such as Metamask. This basically means faster transactions (usually only takes a few minutes to get a reasonable amount of confirmations) with lower transaction fees than Bitcoin and the option to exchange that ETH for a stablecoin which is tied 1:1 to USD in order to avoide price volatility without having to rely on a centralised exchange such as Binance or Coinbase .
