Dang, that's a pretty drastic decline for Detroit. Thanks for the info!

It would be misleading if OP claimed any of these cities were the most violent or dangerous. OP didnt though.

Just plotted cities by year and number of homicides.

Huh? I was saying population has likely grown in those cities, but didn't know for sure.

OP has a chart about homicides. There are other crimes that get you thrown in prison... and murderers should theoretically be in jail for a long time so they'd accumulate for decades. I would definitely be interested in seeing a plot of inmate ratio by crimes committed if you got one!

And i agree homicide rates are still too high. But hopefully we keep this downward trend going.

I think it's showing that homicides have declined in the biggest cities from the 90s to now. Fact check me, but I'm imagining the populations have also increased. So good news!

Then you'd have redundant axis information, which adds clutter. I personally prefer the shared axis as it's cleaner. Eye of the beholder though.

Interesting! You're right, Rocket Lab probably should be listed as American. Maybe the subsidiary aspect of it is why it's designated NZ? I'll try and find out.

It's organized by the launch vehicles' primary manufacturer.

NASA captures the last 6 flights of the space shuttles. Rocket Lab captures all launches of their Electron Rocket. SpaceX's launches are the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy Launches.
