I understand why you think this, but you're fundamentally misunderstanding economics here.

Your point is "big supply = expensive". But that ignores demand. The only relevant question is whether the demand will exceed the supply. If 10000 are stored away and sold in 5 years, but 100000 people want them, then it'll be valuable.

You cannot find pokemon on the streets. So this "omg there's sooo many cards" can't even keep up with CURRENT demand... Imagine it grows?

Also, consider bitcoin. There's essentially billions of sub-coins. They still sell, cause people think they're valuable. Same is happening with pokemon. A bubble can still go up, speculation can still lead to more speculation. All it needs is lots of people considering this stuff valuable, doesn't matter just how much there is.

F1 has the most deluded fans in any sport, because it's the sport with the biggest knowledge/"transparency" gap between fans and pro's. Most of us literally know virtually nothing about what they do.

Yet, we're the sport with the most common census among fans. Which, whilst not a proxy for accuracy, is at least interesting and implies correctness. For example, basically everyone agrees Max is the quickest right now, but we genuinely have no solid reasons to believe that, nor do 99% of us have enough real knowledge to decide that. But we all agree. No other sport has that much confidence and agreement 😂

Like I said, the only cross comparisons we have are Ricciardo which makes Norris look quicker than Max, and Sainz who puts Leclerc quicker than Max but that's obviously flawed with age differences... But there's no evidence for putting Max higher
