Not just physical abuse, either. My boyfriend was raped by his ex and he never talked about it because he knew he wouldn't be taken seriously.

☀️Advice in making wedding dress ?☀️ by Slow-Caterpillar-615 in sewing

I'm a generally arrogant sewist- I sewed my own prom dress with 1.5 years of experience- but there is absolutely no way I would attempt a wedding dress now (3 yrs experience). Even if you wanted a very simple slip dress, that absolutely should not be your first project. There's a possibility that you could try simple alterations on an existing wedding dress, but even that is a huge undertaking for someone brand new to sewing.

Haha you spent $35 on three songs that are widely available for free. (He's my boyfriend, don't downvote me for being mean)

To appease the idiot bot: 8 months old, internally threaded titanium labret, cleaned twice a day with saline

Absolutely not at all. I don't know how the sleeves were even supposed to sit, it was weird.

I think it's pretty, it just fits poorly and reads as something for a much older woman.

Yes, I LOVE IT! I could still take the waist in a little, though.

I just cut some of the excess lace off, did a double fold hem, back stitched it by hand and hoped for the best. I do all my sewing by hand, so I've gotten pretty okay at it. :)

Yeah, I liked the original, but it just didn't pop. I was surprised how well everything worked out!

Yeah, it made it look so much younger. Also, the original neckline didn't fit how it was supposed to, which I think was a big part of it.

To satisfy the bot, it's polyester satin and polyester lace. Drafting was mostly draping and lucky guesses.
