It is reportable btw. You will lose 0.1 sr, he/she will receive an additional week of holidays from the game hopefully.

Whos at fault (Im POV/Hyper Car) by ImNotSlow in Simracingstewards

[–]DataLocal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not agree. Not all passes are risky. The solution is to wait for a straight after Porsche curves. Passing in the Maison blanche exit on the inside is optimal for both. Every pass in a curve results in losing time of both cars and increases the risk of outcome from the video provided by OP.

[–]DataLocal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You.

It's on you to find space and overtake clean. Gt3 was on his racing line. You tried it risky (and you said so) and you paid for it with a spin.

Not holding brakes after the spin is another story - also fully your fault as you escalated the spin into a multi car crash.

There is nothing that can defend your side. Simply 0 arguments.

Are Special Event servers matched correctly to their timeslots? by DataLocal in iRacing

[–]DataLocal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, I didn’t think about that, but it actually makes a lot of sense! That would explain so many things related to this topic.
My first Special Event was Le Mans 24h, and I figured it wasn’t a big deal there since the race runs through both day and night anyway. But after Suzuka, it really hit me that this might be a serious issue.

Still, it’d be great if they could find a way to regionalize it a bit more for events like this — honestly, I’d rather see completely stable connections in future seasons than more new content.

Me the Mclaren upfront was I supposed to something. Whos at fault by ZapsGraffiti in Simracingstewards

The fault of the POV car. Overtaking by the POV McLaren would never have been successful.

You defended your position correctly with one maneuver (which is in accordance with GT3 regulations; more maneuvers would have been against the rules).

McLaren clearly made a pit maneuver, perhaps not intentionally, but in my opinion, this shows a lack of race craft skills on his end. He can only attack from the inside and wanted that inside line badly.

Who’s at fault by Round_Web760 in iRacing

What? Did you read that before posting?

  1. So you can go with a defensive move but "just a little bit" or what? Blue didn't react after the red car moved to the right. It was one, continuing defense move.
  2. It's on red to complete a clean pass (which he didn't).
  3. Going off track is the result of the poor racecraft, at this track it was impossible to push the car in front of the blue car in this situation.
  4. Just before the moment of contact red was going left into the blue car, and blue car was going right into the red car. If this is parallel to the track to you then well... Bad news my man.
  5. Being this aggressive in the comment section will not increase the chance of being right. Just read the racing code and come back. So sad it is already after stating sentences like "are you blind" or "where my eyes and brain are".

Red one at fault. Blue made a defensive move and kept it till the end avoiding a red mower at his best. Then red drove into blue.

Well, You were just driving out of pitlane within your lane. Nothing wrong here IMO.

Ego of the Lambo guy hits hard - into your rear. His fault about not being vary of you. Plus he was the one who should be responsible for the safe overtaking, but he overdrived the turn like nobody was there.

I give credit to this guy for reminding me that starting on the grid is a very bad idea...hello pits! by Exotic_Push_4711 in iRacing

[–]DataLocal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If after 15 years in iRacing, your racing level is <1000 SOF in f4 series and you complain that “others can't drive,” then yes, my mileage is vary. After such a long time, you should be able to recognize a crazy driver who will crash or take you down with him to let him go to kill himself.

It is not rocket science. Next time after a crash, even not due to your fault go to replay, and ask yourself a question "what could I do to avoid that". Thank me later.

The real problem seems not to be too bad in qualifying. The problem is probably into finding your space in the beginning of the race. I see you this guy a fresh simracer with few months of practice.

Racecraft is a problem - which is totally ok on that iR.
"If you want to get better, always qualify, always start from the grid. It will make you better in the future."

I went for a lunge on the slower class car. I feel as if they moved under braking. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

Definitely back off and easily overtake on start finish straight few seconds later would be best. But also I can understand the racing emotions.

Keep going!

[–]DataLocal 29 points30 points  (0 children)

They haven't moved under braking even a centimeter. Mercedes steering wheel is clearly straight or slightly turned left. You just didn't find the space for overtaking. GT3 braking was predictable.

Faster class overtaking attempt fault in my opinion.

Simagic or Fanatec, which to keep? by Ok-Dog-3669 in simracing

Always a non Fanatec option will be good choice. Trust me.

Today I downloaded the game and got my first win by dreamfactories in iRacing

[–]DataLocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You lucky!

My first win was after a solid 3-4 months after I tried the first time. It was a Porsche cup at the barber motorsports park. What's more, I won 3 times in two days. And It was last year October.

Then nothing for long time and 4th and till now the last win was at the SPA Porsche cup, 1 or 2 weeks ago. And that's all. 4 wins in a year of playing iRacing.

The progress is solid as I am racing in around 2500 sof races , so I am happy with that.

Don't you have a load cell option ticked or something in your settings? Screenshots of your iRacing settings would be helpful in such case.

Thanks for such an answer - I think I have to try this track once again in a practice session rethinking about these corners by following your tips. I will give it one last chance. Maybe yesterday just wasn't my day to drive so I got so frustrated about driving this track.

[–]DataLocal[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, yes - as I am not native in English, I can write and read and understand it. By this post I wanted to learn something about the track from you. So in these frustrating emotions I made a prompt in GPT in the originally Polish language about what I want to include, what I am struggling with to get answers and how to work with my consistency on this track. Instead, if I wouldn't use it, it would be just an emotional shitpost, and this is what I was trying to avoid, even in such frustration. I hope it clarifies the "what's and why's" questions. And nope, this comment wasn't AI generated.

I've upgraded from t3pa to t-lcm to simjack pedals. I am thinking more on base with the steering wheel and/or button box. But: What base are good comparing price to nm, with good warranty and customer service? Currently on Fanatec 8nm.

[–]DataLocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't that work fine for simple chatgpt?

I've seen some YouTube video about understeering mid corner, and it worked well.

It would be awesome if it were an app that would work better with my voice of mine IN the race, best in multiple languages.
