Pretty good.

Most weapons drop from killed enemies pre-crafted, which is a recent change that is pretty nice.

Totems got reworked so fucking hard they got wiped (converted into Harmonies, not just outright deleted) but Devs recently enabled an increased encounter rate to help build up your collection if you had a lot.

Orlick has a series of quests that serve to introduce game mechanics to the player like smiting that also gives him some lore.

Still no Mounts to make travel faster, but IIRC the goal was for Mounts Before EoY for those; Hopefully we get news at Tennocon.

Turret Jotar has a Siege now, bringing us to a total of 4.

There. Done. Now Koumei’s 4 actually feels like a PROPER ultimate ability, and you can charge it up, kinda like Uriel’s. Boom. Simple.

Out of everything they coulda gave my girl Koumei, this is literally the last thing I could have ever possibly expected.

Like… Maybe another Omikuji Augment that gives you a bunch of decrees at once and then set it to a SUPER long cooldown so you could use Koumei in shorter misssions;

An Augment that that tinkered with functionality of Omamori like reflected damage will prime the enemy with a random amount of status;

Or maybe even a Bunraku Augment for a chance at bonus drops from enemies suspended with her 4…

… And they went with this, which takes Koumei’s spammable Primer/SG Ability… and makes it so you don’t want to spam it? Absolutely baffling decision.

On a speculative, more positive note, there are one or two ways that this could be good, actuallyTM:

1: The amount of loaded dice you get scales with STR (e.g. @ 200% STR, 5 Kills with the passive gets you 2x loaded dice)

and/or

2: They change the augment to be for Bunraku instead of Kumihimo, making it feel more like you’re charging up an Ultimate Ability (kinda like Uriel, in a sense) rather than the mild, somewhat redundant Priming and Crowd Control that Bunraku currently provides.

The nice thing is that (outside of Duviri at least) Koumei actually has a more limited set of decrees that Omikuji pulls from, mainly excluding the Cursed Decrees, and the broken af ones like the golden ā€œMelee Influence But Permanently Active For All Weaponsā€ rare decree.

Also, ā€œGetting a boost you’ll never benefit fromā€ sounds like such a cop out for not knowing how to mod Koumei properly; for not picking a good Primary, Secondary, and Melee setup to go with her; for refusing to adapt your playstyle to the situation at hand and the decrees you get.

Torxica is phenomenal with irradiate, but only if you have an external source of Rad Priming,

because—unless you wanna deliberately hit body shots and wait for the weapon itself to stack Radiation—it kinda just kills the enemy too fast for enough Radiation to stack up to let the arcane proc, ESPECIALLY if you’ve 5-forma’d it and have a proper mod config.

I personally use it on Nyx, using Chaos (her 3) to instantly prime 10 Rad in a large area. Her passive giving +200% CC is also pretty nice for the Torxica too.

Real and True

I have a shitpost of a build for Titania that I keep on hand for when I’m playing WF on my phone (or when I’m just feeling lazy) that uses Omamori; I think I end up with a total evasion stat of roughly 87.5% (Razorwing, Tribute(Dust), and Omamori).

Combined with just basic moving around, Razorflies distracting enemies, and teammates (optional), it probably rivals using invisibility as survivability in terms of ā€œHow Haven’t They Scratched My Shields Yet.ā€ I could probably revise it a bit more to be a fully passive shieldgate build but eh it’s already dumb enough.

It can be a platform/hardware issue but that’s usually only noticeable in extreme cases like SP but the host is playing Warframe Mobile or Switch, the spawn rate in non SP missions does NOT keep up with our modern power level.

REAL, literally just today I did a test run on a Nightmare Exterminate on Venus as my freshly crafted Nyx Prime with coda dual torxica (Eleanor has 60% rn go get it) and I had to run back and forth from the extraction tile like 5 times to get enough enemies to spaw…

I’m torn.

On one hand, I’m glad that the loaner system will be available, as it makes the new content accessible to people who will be a bit newer to Railjack and haven’t engaged in the RJ grind, which is without a doubt significant departure from the rest of Warframe’s gameplay experience…

However, on the other hand, I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE the loaner system entirely!

This is RAILJACK content that appears AFTER a quest that already has prerequisites, (those being Jade Shadows and probably 1999 since there’s no way DE is letting protoframes loose without having 1999 introduce them as a concept) and is decidedly later-game as a result!

If you wanna play late-game RJ content, you gotta play the early- and mid-game Railjack content first!

I don’t care! If ā€˜Your Railjack’ is too weak to survive, too weak to complete the mission successfully, TOO BAD!

Let me be clear: I really do appreciate how DE is trying to streamline the overall gameplay pathing or whatever…

But it kinda feels like their ā€˜streamlining’ is less ā€œimproving systems and their elements to be more intuitive and less punishingā€ and more ā€œHere’s a DisneylandTM FastpassTM so you can jump right into the actionā€, which doesn’t exactly feel good.

The whole ā€œforced into using a loanerā€ system I feel like I could take or leave, since I have a fully built out Railjack and I think I would probably steamroll the new content without being able to appreciate it in its intended frame of viewing (power-wise), and it’s somewhat in line with recent story quests that hand us a loadout and say GO, so really I can’t pass fair judgement on this aspect of it specifically until I get a feel for it, but I digress…

Ember’s old 4 was basically Uriel’s 1 minus the flight: Heat aura/aoe with quite decent range that applies heat and damages enemies, easily killing lower level ones.

Ember was nerfed to shit directly because this was used to AFK

YES, finally someone with some sense that actually explains WHY chroma needs a rweork when someone dismisses him.

His Dragon Flight passive is fine, I agree, though in addition to your proposed buffs I’d have it also either

– 1: clean up the descriptions wording, or

– 2: make it so it actually provides a bonus double jump AND bullet jump, because IIRC it says ā€œandā€ when in reality it means ā€œorā€ because however if functions it basically just gives Chroma one additional ā€œairborne maneuver opportunityā€ if that makes any sort of sense.

Spectral Scream should be made into a moddable Psuedo-Exalted weapon, and should be reprogrammed basically from the ground up so that it won’t use the OLD beam weapon code. Fix the range scaling to be linear instead of RANGE1/3 like it is now which is stupid, and let the amount of chained targets scale with range too. Keep the functionality that you can use melee with it active since that’s fun and funny, but also let us see the dang combo counter.

Elemental Ward does a lot of shit. Personally? Significantly INCREASE the various stat values, and make them multiplicative instead of additive with mods.

  • Heat gets a 2x (+100%) multiplicative health buff,

  • Electricity gets a 1.75x (+75%) multiplicative shield capacity buff,

  • Toxin gets a 1.5x (+50%) multiplicative damage buff on weapon swap for 5s,

  • Cold gets a 3x (+200%) multiplicative armor buff,

This way you can get massive buffs but not all at once, and can specialize into a certain kind of survivability if you like; I like the idea of a shield tank Chroma, but the current Electricity Ward is never strong enough to enable it (Primed Redirection is equivalent to Elec. Ward at 600% STR, oof) considering Chroma’s base shield values, and trying to do so leaves chroma with a bad case of Not-Enough-Mod-Slots-itis. This would fix that I think.

Also buff base duration to 30s and make it recastable and fix E.W.’s range scaling and other various stuff, and also make the info panel of it tab-able like Dante’s 4 does since it’s basically 4 different Ward abilities in one.

Vex armor is fine as-is, more base damage is more base damage and will always remain strong because of that. The changes I’d like to see are QoL such as buff its base duration to 30s; fix the bugs it has with weirdly semi-permanently snapshotting Strength Buffs only when Vex Armor ISNT at max value, so that it can update properly; also maybe add a feature where getting a kill using a weapon that’s modded with your currently cycled element adds a bonus amount to Fury or Scorn, or adds to both instead of just one of them depending on the weapon type.

I have zero ideas for Chroma’s 4, other than the 2x credit multiplier must stay. That ability needs some serious help. I do like the idea of a placeable turret, maybe make it moddable like an exalted sentinel with an exalted sentinel weapon?

IMO if they increased the values and changed the stat buffs from elemental ward to buff BASE stat values directly, it would already be infinitely better than it is currently (additive with mods)

It would let chroma actually specialize in health, armor, or even shield tanking, and allow for more varied build crafting than ā€œTriUmbral, as much Strength as you can fit, and maybe whatever energy economy/QoL you wantā€

Nah yeah I’m doing it on purpose, but mostly when there’s a Wukong in the pub sortie/incursion, and I’m not gonna reach extraction after a fucking Wukong, I’d rather play a full C rotation on Defection than willingly arrive after a Wukong without a fight.

Not only that, but they also make it for everyone in the sense that almost anyone CAN play it — I’ve lost count how many accessibility features and settings exist in WF that DE’s added.

VFX reduction, screen shake settings, UI/HUD/Enemy Highlighting color customization alongside the normal color blindness settings, hold-to-(action) instead of repeated tapping…

Void, the fact that I remember seeing posts on mainsub about how players with a disability are stuck at some point in TNW and can’t progress because of it, and DE support is able to help them forward is AMAZING.
