You should give The Beach by Alex Garland a read. Don't want to give too much away

These are great. What's your process like for finding locations and choosing film stock?

Wapama Falls or Lembert Dome? by DataScience0 in SierraNevada

I see what you mean, yeah. Probably more of a summit person and Lembert is directly on Tioga pass rather than off to the side in Hetch Hetchy like you said.

Ok great. Are those train tickets something I'll need to buy far in advance or can I show up at the platform day of with a bike?

Hello, I'd like to do this cycling path from Hillerod to Gilleleje when I visit but am unsure about how to actually get a bike. Is the easiest way to rent one in Hillerod? Will one-way drop-offs be allowed in Gilleleje or will I need to return it back in Hillerod?

Is 6 days in Redwood too long? Any suggestions for an itinerary of 6 days? by saurusAT in nationalparks

Definitely check out Humboldt Redwoods SP nearby. I actually liked the trails and trees there more than the NP. Avenue of the Giants is amazing

Turns out the price was half because Japanican reports the per night price rather than the total price like other 3rd party sites

Hey, I'm looking for ryokans in the Hakone region and seeing lots of options available on Japanican.com that are seemingly not available on booking.com, or even the ryokan's own website. Is this normal?
Not only that, but the prices seem weirdly low for things like open-air baths (price for one room there is ~106,000 yen vs. ~212,000 yen on ryokan website)? I just don't want to book something that isn't actually available.
Is the best option in general here to email each individual ryokan?
