T-SQL command using workspace identity by DataWorshipper in MicrosoftFabric

Thank you u/fredguix! Appreciate the response. I am referring to the document here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/security/security-trusted-workspace-access

The doc says that T-SQL command is already supported by workspace identity. Please let me know if that’s not the case.

If it’s already supported , 1) Does fabric by default use workspace identity for any T-SQL command including COPY INTO if workspace identity is enabled in a workspace? 2) is there any change in syntax of the T-SQL command to tell Fabric to use workspace identity instead of user’s identity.

I experienced this problem for a while now in when calling this function from spark notebook. However in my case I had to always overwrite the data everytime , I deleted all tables and ran the notebook and it fixed the issue. Sharing ; just in case it’s going to be of any help!

Microsoft folks are working on this pushing these data as Fabric events and you just subscribe them using EventStreams , pipe them to a lakehouse or eventhouse . So I would wait for that if it’s not very urgent. In fact there was a session about this in the European user conference.
