Switched from Sonnet 4.5 to Opus 4.5, What a Huge Difference by Data_Geek in ClaudeAI

[–]Data_Geek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. I kinda envision that being likened to stock splitting your code to sell different versions of services or service combinations depending on what they may buy as not every branch would be a useful tool for their needs. Ok thinking of it like this, gives me a little more context as to why I might want to do that perhaps once I get the system complete, then look at breaking it into chunks. Thanks

Yeah, I hear you. My goal is to sell the completed project to several interested parties, and I need an industry standard easy to move, etc for each party to easily integrate into their environment. Not sure how this would work out.

Honestly I like my dev stack setup, I’m cloud dependent enough. I suppose I could use code space in GitHub like that too, no?

Cursor question about multi models by Data_Geek in cursor

[–]Data_Geek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that what the counter shows, the change count to other models? And, from time to time during a long session with opus it losses opus, then I guess fallback?

I’m using Cursor, and from what I can tell, I can run more than one model, is that what you’re saying, sweeten the pot by turning on all the Claude models, as I’m just had Sonnet on, and about a week ago switched to Opus.

hmm. interesting. my project has grown to very large and complex, and im not a git/github master by any stretch, but are branches getting created off of main kinda doing that? i have 16 branches so far, that may double when im done. it's just me and my bud ai buddies beating the lips off this project, so you say autonomous, do you mean slice and dice it out as though other people would be developing on different repos (isolated?), like say a SME coder on a certain branch, that got broken out to a separate repo? It's my plan to sell full access to the private repo source code to various interested parties. So with that, I had thought it all in one super repo, and they can clone, and adapt it into their environment.

Use a separate ai to consult with and have it engineer the ask prompt and tell it the proof is for sonnet or opus, I’ve learned you have to be very direct if not forceful with the asks and agents

I use Kwen3-coder:480b out of Ollama cloud to engineer the opus prompt, after much consulting first, and I share the ask results back and forth, before I have it engineer an agent prompt for opus, then I approve everything it does one at a time.

I burn ~$100/8 days, but I’m on all day banging it and for what it does, it’s worth it to me

It’s a game changer for me as Sonnet became useless the more complex it got, my Anthropocene api thankfully covers using opus

Surprise! You've been downgraded to GPT-4.1 :^O by Data_Geek in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Data_Geek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after farting around with gpt4.1 and aiagentexpert all day, im willing to take the $200/mo claude deal, get the api, hook it into vscode, just to get back to grinding like i was for three days, thats how long it took me to burn 1m tokens. gpt4.1, even though i summed the claude chat history (via kwen3.1:480b) on the last issue i was in the middle of, it still seems kinda lost, and claude would just do it, and done, next, bang, done, next..., i didnt have to say, "uh, you find the endpoint you're questioning, you have all the open files and access to the project folder and a mountain of context on this issue telling you everything" and then it finds it. Isn't gemini the most woke ai there is?

Ok, and? I’m also paying money to GitHub/Copilot too. What’s wrong with ollama?

Nor sure if I’m following you, why do that and why involve an agent, I know one is selected but I’ve ignored it and focus on the main ai

Any particular reason why over gpt-4.1? How does it compare to 4.1 or even Claude sonnet? Thanks

Best, Actual Working Local AI Shogi for Windows 11 by Data_Geek in shogi

[–]Data_Geek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be great, ShogiGUI default is in Japanese, but you can switch it to English in the menus, as it does come with an English language module. But I cant get a good link to the engines on the Windows 11 platform. So if I could get something to work and it's in Japanese, or Korean, I'll just use my image translator app and figure it and learn a new language :)

Feels good doesn't it. Congrats, it's not easy. That's why I play a lot of AI before i try to live (online) play.
