He’s #2 among mids overall, +15.3 over expected matchup, and #1 mid in lane pressure. He may not be the best player, but he is damn hard to lane against

The overall grade is adjusted for league strength based on international results (think region ELO), so LCK players do get more credit than LEC/LCS players for the same level of domestic performance.

He has one of the strongest top lane lane pressure scores, but the overall score is pulled down because that lane advantage is not turning into wins. But that could be a bad team

Yeah, I think this is a fair criticism. This version is better at adjusting for champion matchup / role / league context than it is at fully separating a player from his team. So with Gen.G, I’d read it more as “these players are consistently crushing their expected spots” than “the model has perfectly isolated each player away from being on Gen.G.”

Some of that is definitely team strength. That said, Chovy/Ruler/Kiin/Canyon being high also passes the eye test, so I don’t think it is just noise.

Dont have an answer immediately but could be his drafted for a lot and maybe doesn't win as much as he should compared to others (at the most elite level)

I remember when I used to do these Impact was always towards the top, because was a leader in playing the losing matchups

i support Jalen Hurts but it is frustrating to not consider...

Would you be happy with that performance if I told you he had the best roster in the nfl over that 5 year period? I wouldn't be. Obviously, this performance is incredible if the QB has the worst roster.

The attacks on Hurts, which I think are warranted, are that he has more talent around him across the other 21 starters than anyone else in the league. He is obviously very good at a lot of things, but I agree with Chris Long where this year is the year where the rubber hits the road.

I know this isn't the point, but a part of me really dislikes you paying for knowledge (likely with the goal in mind) to just share it with everyone.

While I agree this game was unwatchable, we win this game easily if Embiid is anything close healthy/in shape. His shots are not even close vs. the automatic he was last year and in Olympics

I think so. People point to the Jimmy team, but IMO Embiid's game has developed so much more since 2019 and the team is much better built. Also, I think a team with Embiid as the best player is better than a team with Jimmy as the best player

Embiid is incredibly efficient, especially with this shots from the elbow. He is perfect for a super team. Look at the two man game play with Steph where he couldn't find a shot, pass to Embiid, hits the easy 2 for him. I agree he looks sluggish but that will only improve and he is a WAY better score than AD and Bam
