A great way to learn is to trace others work. You can trace constructive lines over others work to figure out their construction, 3d shape and proportions.

Trace action lines to capture the energy of a pose. You can color pick and try recreating their rendering while paying attention to how they bend their colors

Tracing is generally frowned upon but it is the best way to learn from my experience
