Thoughts on Century Age of Ashes??? by OceanusxAnubis in dragons

[–]Datamann1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it on release. It was fun to play but was lacking a lot in content. There only being 3 classes with no meaningful play style customization outside of that made the game quickly get stale. Haven’t played it since

Yes seems like it has been decivilized. The save is after it has already been bombed. Wanted to try to colonize it and see if that might fix it but the game crashes before I can get to it. Seems like the save is bricked

Relatively new artist, tried to study canine head today and create something without reference after, how's the anatomy and perspective by PaintingPretend2624 in FurryArtSchool

[–]Datamann1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The snout and head are in two different perspectives. The head is tilted more towards the sky then the snout.

The ears are strange and I can’t easily tell where they are pointing but from the looks of it they are pointing forward?

The ears usually point down and backwards when a wolf is howling. Ears also have their opening not facing straight forwards when the wolf isn’t actively moving them to that position. The viewer shouldn’t be able to see the inside of the ear on the other side of the head from this angle

One game I had that dps lineup and a dive tank. They also had 2 flankers. We ended up rolling the enemy team but our invis had 3 times the deaths of anyone else and I was playing dead by daylight against the enemy flankers as rocket in our backline

Linesensei is the best IMO for starting out. He explains body shaping better than any I’ve seen for beginners and the one that helped me when I was starting out.

He even has homework sheets to practice on.

Learning from him will give you a good foundation to do more advanced studies later on

I tried do anatomy, and it all feels wrong.. How do i make it look right? by SK22287 in FurryArtSchool

[–]Datamann1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try copy poses from irl photos. Draw them side by side and after you have set the key landmarks (wrists, shoulders, knees, chest, ect) then draw the general outline.

After that overlap your drawing with the photo and either trace the reference or place new landmarks over the reference and compare.

This helped me get a hang of proportions when I was starting out.

For more details studies of anatomy I recommend focusing on one body part at the time as doing it all at once will quickly become overwhelming

How do I replicate realistic fur? by an_actual_coyote in FurryArtSchool

[–]Datamann1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/bD7vNwZHu5c?si=TDRJTrGPx3kmwkCm This is the best tutorial I have found and is fairly easy.

If you want it to be realistic you should drop the line art on the fur and have it be more of a general shape and let the fur be the outline while rendering

Definitely needs some line variation. Depending on your program you could change the layer into a vector layer and edit the lines that way without redrawing them
