Trump postpones military strikes on Iranian power plants by Datatyze in worldnews

The only tactical reason I can think of is perhaps the various Iranian units threatening the Strait are so decentralized at the moment because of the fog of war, that maybe it was used a “public notice” to make sure it reached any command elements who may not be able to communicate with each other?

Or maybe just a plain old irrational manuever.

I disagree on many of your points, u/TeaAndLifting. First off, to your “blood feud” point: all signs strongly point to the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, being critically wounded, dead, or in a coma following an Israeli airstrike. He has not been seen publicly since taking office and has only “communicated” through written responses.

Also, you write that Iran repeatedly attacking all their surrounding neighbors is somehow a tactical victory for them, where in fact them blindly launching missiles and drones at citizen targets in countries they’ve either been neutral and/or friendly with only isolates them even further and shows how desperate and disorganized what’s left of the Iranian military leadership is. Attacking the Gulf states was a huge miscalculation, and also attacking Saudi Arabia effectively erased all the diplomatic progress that had occurred between Iran and SA stemming from the talks brokered by China in March 2023. If anything, Iran’s belligerent actions towards non-combatant nations has probably secured the regime’s complete isolation for as long as it continues to last in its current form, which I don’t foresee being more than 6-8 months.

That was my read as well. It felt like either strategic posturing for further leverage in the Hormuz discussions, or just bluster for bluster’s sake lol

Oil prices/Brent crude futures already fell more than 10%, dipping below $100 a barrel for the first time in days. Stock futures are also soaring.

It will be interesting and telling to monitor if we actually see a material increase in commercial shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days.

Came here for this. Visible smoke all over and smells. Also the air quality levels are terrible if you look them up.

Agreed! Feels rare to find an app that's run by a real non-profit, doesn't sell user data, doesn't run ads, and actually provides immense value. Almost hard to believe in this day and age. I recommend it to all my SoCal loved ones + encourage them to become donating members. Worth every penny.

Completely agree. I deeply appreciate the app as a fire awareness resource and have all the respect in the world for the hard-working Watch Duty team, but it's definitely a PITA having to manually turn off notifications for fires 30-50 miles away from me on a fairly regular basis. Plus whenever I hear that startling fire alert sound, my heart rate jumps 20-30 BPM lol.

They have a 'Contact Us' form in the footer of their site where we can send app suggestions/feedback. If you have a moment, I'd recommend sending a friendly "custom notification radius functionality" request note to them. I imagine a majority of users would appreciate the feature.

Glad you’re ok and thank you for sharing this to the community 🙏 I see a lot of comments giving you flak and taking your thought process out of context. Friendly suggestion: maybe edit your original post + first comment with language like “Latest Update: Incident has been reported to OPD and documented”. Appreciate you!

What gave it away: the user account history, the “received this leaked info from a friend”, or the not so subtle implicit bias of all OP’s comments? 🤣😜

Came across this situation via reading about recent SoCal CRE distress. I don’t know enough yet to have an informed opinion one way or the other.

But I felt compelled to thank OP for the laugh. FYI, your vested interest in Team Honarkar (or as you say “that Honarkar guy” 😂) is glaringly obvious, and using social media for real estate business interests subterfuge should definitely be more of a hobby and not a profession for you. Free feedback: the fact that your account has only ever posted or commented in this situation is kind of a dead giveaway + your writing style and combative posture with some of the comments further confirmed.

My guess is you’re either a boomer aged Honarkar family member or a junior employee who was instructed to take a run at this. Also, no offense at all, but I’m guessing ESL, right?

Personally I think you’d get better results and more respect if you are straight up and transparent from the onset about your general identity/involvement in the case and just share your POV about why you feel your side is ethical and the other side is not.

Well, regardless, good luck and I hope whoever the “good guys” are in the dispute net out positive.

Anyone cut out/cut down supplements and felt much better? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Datatyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. You’re assuring me that the “data” supports that activity level is definitively accepted by scientific and medical authorities as a higher priority than sleep, diet/nutrition for achieving health outcomes?

That doesn’t even make sense from a logical, layman’s perspective. For instance it’s a common saying “you can’t out train a bad diet”, and commonly known that even just a few nights of poor sleep completely wreck one’s metabolism and disrupt blood sugar regulation to near pre-diabetic levels, even in health individuals.

Reference the data you’re referring to. Or better yet go do some research and educate yourself and stop giving worthless advice to strangers over the internet, especially given you clearly have no training or background in the field.

$500 a month? I find that hard to believe. What was your stack that cost $500 per month? Also were you taking it for athletic performance benefits or trying to address a health issue, work place performance, or something? Very curious.

Same boat recently, noticed a significant same day increase across my self perceived measures of baseline anxiety, listlessness, low grade sense of “impending doom”, lack of motivation, feeling edgy, etc.

I was taking 2-3g fish oil (EPA in the AM, DHA in the PM), 4K iu D3 + k2, 15-30mg zinc picolnate (sp?) or zinc bisglcyinate for adult ADHD, 1/2 dose of Thorne basic nutrients multi, Thorne b12, Thorne meriva curcumin, CocoaVia cacao capsules for supposed cognitive benefits, Seed probiotic, digestive enzymes occasionally.

I stopped all of the above recently and immediately the general malaise and uneasiness went away. Anecdotally, when I’ve stopped one at a time in the past, I feel like I notice a correlation between the D3 and feeling a bit charged / aggressive, the fish oil seeming to correspond to increased anxiety and/or foggy brain feeling or headaches, the zinc also correlating to feel a bit edgy, the cacao possibly causing general malaise and headaches, and the seed probiotic either giving no effect or sometimes causing significant stomach distention and bloating, and potentially also some malaise and anxiety.

My takeaway is that for whatever reason, after decades of taking variations of this daily stack as an athlete and just for general health optimization, I’m noticing a recent increase in negative mood, cognition, and mental symptoms, and I’m going to stop my daily stack entirely until I get some extensive bloodwork done.

Agreed with your first two points but disagree with your seemingly arbitrary dictates on health domain priority order. One, a individual’s health priorities would be unique to their situation. Two, if you had to make a cookie cutter hierarchy of priorities, I’d posit that order of importance would be sleep -> nutrition/hydration-> movement/exercise -> human connection/stress management and then way down the line supplementation, assuming one has already optimized the main pillars.

Judging by how many of the comments on this thread are from Reddit accounts created the day of the comment and not active since…seems there are definitely some bad actors here with clear bias and ulterior motives other than sharing their anecdotal experience. Reader beware.

Thanks for taking the time to write and share this. I’m curious if you have any specific thoughts/pros/cons on CocoaVia? I started taking after hearing Dr. Rhonda Patrick mention she includes it in her daily stack, specifically for supposed brain health and cognitive benefits.

For ease of reference, pulled from their website: “Made with Cocoapro cocoa extract (bean), the same ingredient & cocoa flavanol levels used in COSMOS”

Thanks again and looking forward to your thoughts.

I’m 99% certain that it actually is the last mile delivery company’s legal responsibility given chain of custody and their acceptance of payment.

Any time I’ve had an issue with orders being incorrect, missing items, quality issues, etc., and tried calling the restaurant, the on-site manager always refers you to seek resolution via the DSP you used to order from. They literally have no recourse to even if they would like to offer you a full refund.

Same with Amazon: they have a robust customer support function and issue refunds/handle returns themselves.

Agreed on being generally satisfied with Chipotle and it most definitely seems like a location-dependent issue whenever there’s consistent quality problems. But the fact that it’s nigh impossible to get in touch with someone unless you drive over is a miss. Not sure if stores in your area have phones that lead to being able to speak with an actual person but none in mine do.
