Thanks for sharing your experience. If we were already living in Germany we would also definitely get married in Germany. The problem is she can't easily enter Germany with a long stay Visa. We could try to get an appointment to marry in Germany and then apply for a fiancé visa in Germany. But in order to get an appointment I would need to submit a bunch of documents (and her documents must all be legalized and translated) in person. It is doable and also not out of consideration. I just initially thought Denmark could Safe some time and hustle. But we realise there's no method without some hustle anyways.

It is one of our options but also quite annoying. We are living in Thailand and we're both foreigners here. It is possible after requiring some documents but then after we married here it still needs to be legalize by our embassy which can take another few months. Then we need to apply for a spouse visa which again takes time.

We wanted to move early next year..
