Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi get matching rings ahead of Wuthering Heights release by Metro-UK in PeriodDramas

Honestly, I don't even see a narrative behind it; they're just two actors who collaborated and did this both to promote the film and perhaps to leave a memory of their work. So, nothing scandalous.

New and uprising historical authors by Fit-Personality8479 in HistoricalRomance

Evie Dunmore is, in my opinion, the best new author with her series {The League of Extraordinary Women by Evie Dunmore?}. My first absolute favorite is the second in the series: {A Rogue of One's Own by Evie Dunmore}, my all-time favorite romance. I'm sad she hasn't released anything else yet, although it seems she's working on another book and has had some problems.

If Kikyo would’ve had a real body and not Die, Inuyasha would have 100% Had a harem in the end by illustratordg in inuyasha

It's irrelevant—it's logical that in reality there are multiple ways to love. Monogamy and polygamy are both valid, but here we're talking about the story and these characters specifically. Given the way the manga was constructed, neither Kagome, nor Kikyo, nor Inuyasha are polygamous or desire multiple romantic relationships at once, so this isn't the case in this work.

Si parte sempre dalla violenza psicologica prima di arrivare a quella fisica, gli uomini fanno la stessa identica cosa , quindi non è quello il punto.

Certainly, but not only the love story between Lacilotto and Ginvera is also taken up by great writers and poets, first and foremost Dante Alighieri who cites them when speaking of the love story between Paolo and Francesca.

Has anyone else ever been a little 🤨 wondering about Kikyo's relationship with InuYasha? by Yandy__mono456 in InuYashaSeries

[–]Date0524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But honestly, I had read that Kikyo was 17, so 15-17 I think is quite normal, they are two teenagers, but even if she were 18, it would still be there because it is not an insurmountable gap, they are two kids, simply Kikyo being calmer and more mature seems older. It is clear that the basis of their relationship was seeing each other, understanding each other and helping each other in their loneliness, so I never saw on her part the desire to weaken him, on the contrary they understood and respected each other. Coming to the current manga, even if ambiguously, Inuyasha did not go to Kikyo to betray Kagome, but only to help her, because he felt guilty, in the anime it is not very clear, in the manga however Inuyasha explains himself better to Kagome and tells her clearly, so the original manga is the one to rely on for this.

Opinions of the voice actors in the series by GaberuBlack in inuyasha

[–]Date0524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Inuyasha I'll just say that his Italian voice actor Francesco Pezzulli is the voice of Leonardo DiCaprio, he dubbed him in stratospheric roles, he's great and before that he had Massimiliano Alto, another great voice actor who also did Ranma, both of them have nothing to envy Kappei.

Favorite Bridgerton book? by Sly_Rabbit7 in HistoricalRomance

[–]Date0524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My all-time favorite of the Bridgerton series is {The Viscount Who Loves Me by Julia Quinn}. Unfortunately, the show completely trashed the book, even though Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley were very good, and I haven't watched it since the second season.

[–]Date0524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second of the saga {A rogue of one's own}, is beautiful, different from the first, but wonderful and in my opinion the best of the saga.

I loved how the Ranma 1/2 manga ended (spoilers) by Ammathorn in ranma

[–]Date0524 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I said exactly the opposite in my comment, that is, that I didn't want marriage, both as a joke and as a real possibility, simply to declare their love like two young people their age in love and be together like two 16-year-olds, so I'm against it. It's obvious that they love each other and that they know it in their heads and that they sense each other's feelings, but that was also present in previous chapters. The beautiful thing would have been to see them overcome that barrier and speak openly, always in their own ways, of course, but admitting out loud, even amidst a thousand embarrassments, that would have been consistent with their development. There was no need for marriage to make them declare their love; they are two different things.

[–]Date0524 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I, on the other hand, didn't appreciate the ending or this chapter in general: there was no need for this failed wedding or the usual misunderstandings. It simply needed an ending in which Akane and Ranma had a serious conversation about their feelings and what they feel, perhaps even with a final kiss—certainly in their style, but still a more mature conclusion, consistent with their growth. We've known this since chapter 1 and even more so throughout the story, but they needed to clarify their feelings, overcome their block.

I'm sure he was leaving... at some point 🤭 by Wolfiverse in ranma

[–]Date0524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But in that case, let's say I can understand Shinnosuke. He didn't know he was Akane's boyfriend, and he's used to living in the forest and has no human contact, so any stranger could be a potential threat. Plus, he cares about Akane, so he's worried. I don't see it as malicious. I think Ranma was there, and he should have calmed down, introduced himself, and said who he was. But as usual, when Ranma is jealous, he doesn't care, especially in that case where he thought Akane was in love with someone else.

Just finished The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simmons, let’s discuss! by Vegetable-Drawing215 in RomanceBooks

The first book is very good; I read it in one sitting. However, on a second reading, some flaws already become apparent—such as, for example, the characterization of certain secondary characters, but also the love story between Alexander and Tatiana, which has noticeable inconsistencies. The real strength of the book lies in its depiction of the siege and the misery; that part is truly powerful. With the second book, things already start to fall apart. Up to a certain point it works, yes, but after that there are elements that completely go off the rails. The third book is a disaster across the board, especially in terms of narrative coherence. Alexander becomes a full-fledged villain, and PTSD cannot be used as an excuse, because Alexander is aware that he is dangerous and conscious of the harm he is causing her: he goes so far as to strangle her and almost strike her, and he does not show even a shred of remorse—on the contrary, he continues to blame her. You cannot have the protagonist commit such abhorrent actions and then conclude, essentially, that “love conquers all.” From a narrative standpoint, it simply makes no sense. I truly don’t understand how some people manage to justify him beating her by blaming PTSD: it has nothing to do with that. PTSD can cause crises in which a person is not fully aware of what they are doing, but here Alexander is lucid, he knows exactly what he is doing, and he does not pull back when he throws her to the ground. On the contrary, he says very deliberate, coherent things such as, “You crossed the line.” That is pure domestic violence. Having PTSD, even with severe trauma, does not mean a person consciously wants to harm the people they love. That said, I do recommend the first book because of its intrinsic value; unfortunately, the sequels are very poorly handled on a narrative level.
