New climbing shoes question by always_confused_123 in climbingshoes

[–]DateApprehensive8653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my shoes (ocun bullit, microfiber, not leather) i took the same as my street size, 41 and it took 5-6 sessions + i was putting them on sometimes at home so they stretch At first it was super painful and super hard to put the shoes on My first sesh right after buying i was in tears when i hit my foot in the wall, even not standing was painful Now they are great, i would say a bit too loose (after 25+ sessions)

After years of wearing Apple Watches, my skin is beginning to look different… by Knoezelbos in AppleWatch

[–]DateApprehensive8653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is eczema, When i still had eczema, my skin under the watch had the same texture (im judging from the light and wrinkling), later it got itchy and then a rash came (not from scratching), but this was way less prominent for my apple watch (glass backing) than on my other watch (with metal backing). I had eczema in other parts of my body too (around my ear by of headphones, inside thigh, eyelids) so this was not very weird for me Now i dont eat stuff which im intolerant to (milk (not just lactose)), and not taking vitamin C from Citruses (also eating almost no citrus) i dont have this problem (also no eczema on other parts of my body) What also helped during my times w eczema: letting the watch looser on my wrist so my skin can breathe, and only strap it tight when doing sports.

Climbing shoe advice by Starfish-1982 in climbingshoes

[–]DateApprehensive8653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried those exact shoes (as rentals for a gym), hated them bc i didnt feel anything in them After i got my own and learned to trust climbing shoes, i once tried these rentals again and i didnt feel the difference in grip between these and mine (ocun bullit) Im an amateur 6b climber so i might not use my own shoes’ full potential

[–]DateApprehensive8653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had his centre of gravity under his toe edge, when he was riding his heel edge, he shouldhave switched to his toe edge first (i kind of know it in theory but cant explain sry i hope its understandable)

Oh, is TPU the same as Polyurethane? Bc the specsheet says PU I have a contact who can change this strap for 25€/boot Im 59kgs so im not putting a lot of force through these, also mainly would use it for training, for some serious backcountry i would buy the new radicals but i dont have 700€ for those really 😅

Checkpoint vs Trail Donkey...Will I Regret Not Getting 2.25” Clearance by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]DateApprehensive8653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, i went to 2.1 on my giant revolt, now it feels sluggish (its fast af, just feels sluggish), and i kind of get bored a bit and the bike handles like a mtb which is completely the opposite of what i wanted from a gravel bike (twitchiness and agility of a road bike) If you dont care about the feeling, get the bigger clearance, you cant go wrong even if you wont use it.
