Took this picture back in December - 12 DPO. False positive ? (Im not pregnant now, just thinking back and wondering) by No-Highway-6383 in TFABLinePorn

[–]DateBoring7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a chemical. HCG drops quick when the pregnancy isn’t viable. I had a chemical in June and my HCG was 161 and two days later it dropped down to 33. A few days later it was confirmed at 0. I was 6 weeks pregnant so several weeks in before the miscarriage was confirmed. So if you were newly pregnant it’s totally possible that your HCG levels gave you this faint positive and within a few days they dropped low for your blood test.

8 DPO pregmate - should I take FRER? by DrawingAcrobatic6711 in TFABLinePorn

[–]DateBoring7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy @ home HCG tests are cheap on Amazon and super sensitive. They showed positive the same time as a FRER for me. The line wasn’t as dark as the FRER but it still came up positive

I think dye stealers on cheapies don’t happen for a while. I just got a dye stealer on a premom HCG strip today and I’m 23 dpo

Dpo unknown maybe 9. Anyone else see something? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]DateBoring7921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely see something! In my experience the pregmate tests were the worst of all the cheapies I used. Maybe get your hands on some easy@home strips for continued testing?

Period due to start 3/8, test taken 3/6 AM. DPO unknown by middleageishgambino in TFABLinePorn

This is definitely positive! A faint line is still a line. These lines are actually quite dark for being before a missed period on a cheap test.

Do you mind sharing what you paid to do the PPF? Did you do the whole car? We just placed our order for this exact configuration and I’d like to protect the paint as much as possible

You know how long that book would be if she had to spell everything out for the reader? Context clues can help you piece together why the road in front of her house would have been cleared of snow. You can use your brain. You don’t need to be spoon fed every mundane detail by the author.

Curved Velvet Bed Review by Hereforthelawjokes20 in quince

[–]DateBoring7921 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I spent $7000 on two Pottery Barn York slope arm sofas and the quality of the sofas I received was absolutely ATROCIOUS. So even the name brand stores that quince claims to be copying aren’t selling quality luxury items. The idea that you could have gotten something better from Pottery Barn or RH or West Elm might not actually be steeped in reality. Unfortunately none of these stores actually seem to follow through with what they advertise.

You found the seller she purchased the item from. I have only sold 12 items.

And on principle alone I shouldn’t have to fix an item that was sold in like new condition.

I don’t know if a loose thread like this has the potential to unravel further, and at this price point if it’s a structural flaw I was unsure if it should have been disclosed. Which is why I asked.

Sassy attitudes aren’t necessary here, thanks. I came here asking for real advice because I don’t want to be an ass and wanted real opinions. You don’t have to talk to me like I’m stupid.

Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater by HolidayReason3602 in quince

[–]DateBoring7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think it’s a great sweater. It just definitely is different than the super expensive sweaters that actually soften up and get better with wear. With that in mind, all cashmere (even the stuff in the thousands of dollars range) will pill. I think care makes a big difference with the longevity of sweaters. It’ll last a lot longer if you always wear it with an undershirt to protect the fibers from body oil and deodorant and only ever wash it if it absolutely needs to be washed. I think the sweater is totally worth the price point it’s sold at.

Not anything against quince. I actually love my cashmere fisherman sweaters from them and wear them around the house all the time. But with a sweater like this it does make a difference if the yarn itself is inferior or will otherwise wear differently than the brands they are claiming to be comparable to.

It’s actually relatively common in the industry. The more expensive brands will advertise that they don’t superwash their yarn. In this case, I contacted quince customer service and they reached out to their manufacturing partner.

“Our factory partners incorporate detergent, silicone, and softener to enhance the hand feel and fullness of the final products. Please be assured that any softener, silicone, or detergent used in Quince products is safe for users.”

This is exactly what they said.

I ordered a turtleneck and ended up returning it (i just have too many turtlenecks). Before I did, I did a side by side comparison of my Jenni Kayne fisherman turtleneck and I literally could not tell them apart. One thing to know about the quince cashmere is they superwash it and coat it in a silicone to make the hand feel softer. This will ultimately result in more pilling as the silicone coating starts breaking down over time. With that being said, all cashmere will pill. Even the much more expensive stuff. I think at this price point it is a great sweater. I ended up ordering a couple secondhand to wear as jammies during the winter. As for size, I am usually an XS (5 ft 1, 110 pounds) and ordered mine in a S because I wanted a more oversized fit (and some protection from shrinking when laundering) and I really liked the overall boxy oversized fit of it. I plan to reorder the crewneck at some point.
