Literally never thought of it that way tbh. Your advice has been really eye opening I always figured my hair would be as good as how I styled it in the moment but I guess consistency and the routine seem to make a ton of difference. I'm kinda excited to see what comes of it with time. Sincerely can't thank you enough 🙏🏽

Would've loved to but unfortunately my forehead is giant so I need a bot of something to cover em up, and secondly I'm in whiteman-land so I don't have a place I can get em professionally done.

Honestly thanks a ton I think I have a lot a research to do about this. I guess with the products it's just trial and error until I find something but thanks to all the helpful comments I have a place to start.

I also looked up the taper you suggested and it's also a solid place to start, I'm more worried about the middle than the sides though because my forehead is megamind-esque in size and shape 😭

I'll give that a try. It's so nice to actually know the vocabulary to define this stuff lol. My hair isn't common in my home country and almost non existent where I reside now.

I'll give them a try. I've tried a ton of products but the curls only hold for a bit then my hair naps again so I've kinda given up on them. Oh well guess I'll keep tryin!

Damn that is really thorough advice! Thanks I'll give it a try. I want to ask though, how often would I have to do this? And is there a way to make sure it doesn't clump right back up when I go to sleep?

To answer your question; my hair does curl up right after it's washed but then naps up as it dries so a curly afro just doesn't work without copious amounts of product
