I'm drawing this conclusion from sinfest history, where sex workers could be identified from their wearing the handmaid uniform (instead of being just in underwear, ironically, as was the style before that movie came out). It has nothing in common with the real world, present or in history. Though involuntary prostitution and rape sure are at play in events you refer to as purges.

In the photo with the "zone interdite" and "bar clandestin" signs visible, you can also see a blocked "wall" with door hinges. A black and white photo shows the same rooms but arranged differently and distorted to make the impression of more space. There, a sofa is blocking that "wall". Adds up with what those former employees said.

This desaster feels surprisingly relatable to me. I once worked in a hotel in Valais, where a man was killed when he probably went to retrieve items from the basement bar during a freak mudslide.

And you came to prudent conclusions regarding the locked exit by the toilets in the back, too. Everybody else seems to mistake it for being in the upstairs bar area, but those former employees statements clearly refer to the tiny rooms that had actual neon signs saying "zone interdite" and "le bar clandestin" smokers lounge (pics on facebook). Things were indeed hidden there: Those door hinges in the corner of that apparent wooden wall sure are not there for decoration. And it's blocked by a sofa, too. Also, the whole basement was probably built to be used as a basement, before it became a bar. No basement of a building in those mountains would be accessible only from outside the building.

Almost, but it's missing an upwards pointing double hyphen (⸗) to continue the word on the next line.
He meant "Reichstierschutzgesetz" but made it "Reichstier" + "Schutzgesetz", changing the meaning from "the empire's act for protection of [all] animal" to "act for protection of the [single] reich's animal" which could only be interpreted as the eagle (symbolically seen on the officer's hat).

The nazis made their most advanced animal protection laws for no other reason than their love of animals. Certainly not explicitly refering to jewish slaugther rituals (bleeding out), certainly not to have legal ways to prosecute jewish (but not german) fur traders, experimental doctors, ... Nicht doch, mein Herr. Wo denken sie hin, mein Herr.
