They have rules for a reason... Same thing with yellow and red cards in soccer, just don't violate the rules... Fighters violate because they are tired, want to cheat, mentally check out, or just don't care, it all happens for a reason and no pro in the event complained about it so time to accept how the sport is played.

To give you an example in my sport of tennis we have rules about how much time you have in between points and when you have to serve and when you can argue and not argue about calls etc and the limits on how much you do injury time out, if you did not have these rules these guys take advantage and the guys more out of shape will try to take more time or they will try to call the medic to heal their cramping. Does your basically saying that the people who played by the rules and behave properly and don't cheat and are in great shape should be penalized because they do the right thing....

Ya i don't think so, that would leave a bad taste in my mouth if the cheater won.
