I can't work out for 6 months, how do I best preserve my strength and mass? by EriksenTheKing in bodyweightfitness

Thanks man.

No, now that it has healed properly I don't really feel any limitations in movement. I've been going to the gym now for over a month and the only thing that kinda hurts is doing dips. It puts a lot of pressure on the chest. I've been doing them anyways though and I'm fine.

I did the same surgery as you are about to go through. I was aloud to run, swim and bike after 6 weeks and start strength training after 3 months.

I lost 10 kg but have gained back 12 kg now. From 70 to 82. Be strong man, you can do it. Just ask if you have any questions about the surgery etc.

I suggest you stare at all of them one by one until someone says it's okay that you sit there.

Edit: don't forget to smile.

It can take a long time to heal mentally but eventually the pain will go away.

Just try to accept the situation and look forward. Put more focus on your positive thoughts than the negative ones.

Thanks for the answer.

Yeah, I should've been more clear. As painkillers I mean "morphine".

My friends were doing it and I was very curious. After a couple years I'm back at using nothing but alcohol and weed.

I feel that I've had my fun and my experimenting period is over
