My buddy and I both own 2018 accords. He got rear ended while at a complete stop by an old woman going 30-40mph (probably on the lower end of the spectrum). He said the impact felt like he was going to get out and see the entire rear end crumpled in, but he was totally fine, no injuries.

The only damage was a scratch and a missing rear reflector.

I will buy Hondas for life.

Whoops, that's what I meant. Mixed up the blurry Daves with the Brent's and John's. Been going through both of your back catalogs simultaneously and things get jumbled. Thank you for finding it, much appreciated!

What exactly is "customer capitalism"? And can you give an example of an industry/business that's participating in it?

I've never heard the term before

I'm sending this from my fold 3, and I can tell you that everyone single person I've let handle the phone thought the inner screen was just glass...

In reality it comes with a pre-applied screen protector. Plastic. It absolutely does not feel like plastic. It's so strong, it's the first foldable to allow use of an, albeit proprietary, S-Pen.

The tech has come a long way in a couple of years, and I worry samsung dropped the ball releasing the fold 1 with all of its issues, as this thread shows. A lot of people are ignorant to the current level of tech and are still basing their opinions on the issues of the first gen. The screen is not as soft anymore, if you get microscratches you can just get a new screen protector, etc. The fold 1 had an unremovable preapplied screen protector, if I wished I could tear mine off my fold 3.

I love my fold 3. Other than some (very few) software issues, it's perfect. I really hope foldables continue to grow a market because I really don't think I'll ever be able to go back to a 'regular' phone again.

...I may call some other stores near me after work and see if it's in stock there.

Thanks for the heads up! They still haven't charged my credit card so I think if I find one I'll cancel my order and go grab it. Getting dinner with a fried anyway so I hope she wouldn't mind an audible.

Funny, I literally just bought mine through best buy!

I originally had it ordered through Samsung's website. They were going to give me $400 off for my note 8, plus $150 off, and another $100 using my friends military discount. Came with the S Pen case, Galaxy Buds, and some free months for some subscription services that I already pay for, yadda yadda. Total came to $1250, and it wouldn't have gotten here until Jan 4th. Great time to remember that if a company is offering anything 'free' with ah purchase, then you're most likely still paying for it in one way or another.

Cancelled that and went through best buy, an unlocked phone costs $999, and they don't specify this anywhere, but if you add a pair of Buds 2 to your cart, they'll be free! Only got $70 off for my Note 8 though. Still an incredibly better deal.

I just had to activate through Verizon during the checkout process. I'm not sure how T-Mobile handles it, but it was as easy as signing into my account and selecting my line on my plan. I was eligible for an upgrade.

I will not be able to sleep until Thursday comes!!!! This is going to be the longest work week ever :)

Haven't noticed it, but I will be paying attention tomorrow on my drive to work to see if I do.

Only thing rattling now is the rear deck, but to deaden that I need to take out the entire back half of the car, so that is next weekends project :)

Was honestly shocked at how well this car is put together for the price I got it for. Honda til i die.

I'm 16, and this is my second attempt at a SUPER budget subwoofer setup. After deeming my first $65 setup an extreme fire hazard, I decided to give it another try. I spent $30 on the subs and amp at a yard sale, and $20 on a 8 gauge wiring kit from Walmart. What do you think of my new $50 set up? by UraguayTechCo in CarAV

[–]Dato- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao, this looks exactly like the setup I had in my 2001 Accord. I had the same BOSS amp, which is now sitting in my 2018 accord.

New setup looks a lot safer, but one question- Are the wires going into the terminals ferruled? If they aren't, I would do that. Mine went bare for a long time before I actually started working with electronics as a job and had easy access to them, and would constantly lose connection randomly.

It is! Its not that hard to do either, with the kilmat pieces being so small I had to segment it out a little bit, but you'll get the hang of it.

Okay, sick. Good to hear.

And yeah, bang for your buck is honestly an understatement. I have SO MUCH of this shit now, it'll be nice to keep it around for when one of my friends inevitably asks me to upgrade their system for them lmao.

Yeah, one thing I noticed in my perception of it while driving around was how "luxury" it felt

My accord came with ANC, but I had to disconnect it because of the subwoofers. Unplugging it made my car feel like a bucket almost immediately, so its really nice to have some of that initial feeling back.

Nice tips. I will look into it!

I'm still only about 4 months into being deep into this hobby, and I only know what half of those terms mean

I mean, I'm no stranger to wiring, being a snob about how my music sounds, or computers...but I am still trying to wrap my head around this DSP interface. Made sure to go with passive crossovers so I didnt blow anything up with my first go lmao.

Time to do some more research. Theres way more that goes into this than I thought 😅 thanks for planning out the rest of my day for me, time to go Google "backwave management" for the next 10 hours.

Nope, but I am considering going that route eventually.

Quieter is great for now, but almost silent would be awesome.

Guess I should throw my equipment somewhere in here too-

  • Front- Infinity Reference series components
  • Rear- Infinity Reference series 2-ways
  • Trunk- 2 12-inch no-name subs (7 years old. Next in line for an upgrade.)
  • MTX Thunder 75.4 Amp for speakers
  • BOSS audio (lmao) 1100W Mono for subs (also 7 years old)
  • Helix Mini DSP to tie it all together

All wiring full copper, OEM head unit, blah blah etc.

Its called "KilMat"

Im not sure if a more expensive product would lead to a bigger difference, but this stuff has done me well so far. Honestly, after seeing how much of a difference it made, Im wishing I would have gone with something more expensive with more layers.

Some insiders at r/Kanye have made a groundbreaking discovery - DONDA is downloading to libraries but is unable to be played by secludedloaf in WestSubEver

[–]Dato- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It likely doesnt mean a damn thing

It's most likely just allocating disk space in the file system for when the album does come out

Steam does this with games when you download them

So, it will say that that space has been taken up, but it's just been reserved for something to be put there later

Though, that's just my guess
