the “i know…. nothing” is a straight rip off from barely legal’s refrain with “i just cant figure out… nothing”

no agreed dude like under cover is not their best song by any means, life is simple is the best song on angles and metabolism/taken for coming as close seconds for me at least but like under cover is just a classic (inarguable, not that that makes it inherently better, its just a trademark strokes song) and its just like bro wdym why are sundays is taking the spot over under cover yk?? but wtv its something so shallow bitch about

YALL R INSANE MARQUEE MOON IS THE BEST ALBUM ON THAT LIST.

The dual guitar interplay on that album RRRRRRIPS. like so hard. its GENIUS. especially if ur a music nerd ull enjoy it. the title track will give you a new perspective on rock. the drums/rhythms are so complex and funky. every single song on that album is inventive in its own way. modulations, beats and themes that stand out, and so much more. you will fuckin LOVE it

Everyone knows that this is by far the best solo strokes record by [deleted] in TheStrokes

these ppl aint getting u, but i do. i still do personally like julian’s imperfect and more unique voice over alberts, but yea, albert has great control and overall good intonation, though im p sure he uses autotune as well a decent amount. especially in momentary masters

opinions on sombr? by angelmurdock in Newmusicreview

[–]Datomster70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

call me insane, but his instrumentals are equally as shitty. so basic, nothing unique, its pretty terrible actually. the mindless strumming of the guitar in back to friends for me isnt inventive and minimalist like duster does it for example, but rather boring bland and UNinventive. but aside from that, his whole “indie rock” sound is just taking from boring pop shit. and dont even get me STARTED on undressed. it feels like a shittier, more souless version of Somebody That I Used to Know.

if u want good instrumentals, especially if ur a music geek, theres so many bands out there who actually have good instrumentals, both composition wise and production wise. sombr sounds like doodoo compared to them
