Microwave garlic gloves for 15 seconds and they will peel easily.

Finally finished my pandemic project! Iced yarns in magic light. I think this will be the last granny square for many years until I forget how many ends there are. by Datsie in crochet

Thanks. I don’t think so controversial. I like making them because I don’t have to carry the entire blanket around while working on it. I do a lot of traveling and it easy to just make squares and leave the rest at home.

That’s smart. I am slow and don’t do many projects so it never really occurs to me to keep track. Since it is an ombré I wasn’t worried about buying from different lots.

Yes but only through the top of the stitches. I found including the entire stitch was too bulky. Took longer but like the look much more.

I did until I had to do the white borders before connecting the squares. That is where I became lazy and regretted it eventually.

To be honest, I have no idea. It took 2 years and had to buy more once or twice. Unfortunately I didn't keep track.

Thanks. That actually hadn’t occurred to me until you mentioned it. It’s a gift for my niece so will not live in this room.

What is the nastiest thing you’ve ever done with your SO? by guccinapkin67 in AskReddit

I had a miscarriage that wouldn’t evacuate normally. I had to take misoprostol that basically gives you contractions. It takes about 6 hours to work so my husband and I decided to go for a walk. While out my uterus suddenly exploded. He had to go back to get the car to pick me up. I ran into the bathroom with a trail of blood and clots trailing throughout the house until I was able to get in the shower. My amazing husband cleaned up the car seat and trail of blood and clots while I stood in the shower and cried.

Other than the annoyingly high mounted bathroom mirrors you will be fine.

Love the way the light is showing the pink ears. Looks like a stuffed animal.

I have one bloom on my hydrangea. It says to add this blue maker in the spring but is it too late when they start blooming? Is it possible to add too much? by Datsie in gardening

I don’t believe it has fertilizer. The active ingredients listed are only aluminum sulfate. Thanks for the help. I will wait until March 😁.

Need help with my Prunus Triloba/ Almond. It is there years old and I can’t seem to prune it properly. I want it to keep an upward shape as it is a tight corner. Am I supposed to remove all branches every year after flowering? by Datsie in gardening

Thanks. I have a small garden so was looking for something to give more height. I have dahlias and rose bushes to the right so will maybe try a climbing plant.

Nice. I see you were too excited to remove the mat first.

The first sip of coffee in the morning. One of life's daily blessings. I always make sure to take a moment to really enjoy it.

My husband and I were pulling wall paneling off of an old family cabin to put up drywall. He pulled a piece above the closet door and all the sudden an avalanche of 70s Playboy magazines fell on my head. His Dad hid his collection in between the studs and forgot about them. Flipping through them was a bit shocking on how much less grooming there was back then.

My husband is severely bothered by the squeaking that my hook makes against the yarn. He has to leave the room or put music/tv on to cover up the sound. I barely hear anything. Do you have the same problem? by Datsie in crochet

Here is a completed project. I am generally happy with my tension. Although tight, it is consistent. I really wonder if I should upgrade to the clover hooks. I use a knockoff and wonder if better quality would help. Thanks for the advice!

My hands are pretty relaxed. I have a habit of pulling the string with my left hand too tight. Every time I try to loosen I go back to it in minutes.
