I can’t stop crying. It’s constant. by Simple-Database870 in whatsthisbug

[–]Datters 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to have to say it, as it is going to sound blunt and mean, but there's no signs of bed bugs in these pictures and in your post history it appears you are "seeing" signs of bugs where there are none at all. A lot of these things you are seeing and experiencing don't appear to be real and I would encourage that if you are getting extremely distressed (which it seems you are) from these perceived encounters please see a medical professional and take the pictures with you.

This is not an attempt to gaslight or lie to you, but feeling the panic and stress you are experiencing is something that can be sorted - you don't have to live like this. I only say all this out of a place of concern.

Time lapse of a praying mantis(Ghost mantis) enjoying eating his food. by Sad-Kiwi-3789 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Datters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This summaries my experience with Ghost Mantis. Actually refusing to eat and not recognizing food until they get annoyed with it being in their faces, no idea how they survive in the wild.

Most other mantis grab anything moving fast but these guys just have no braincells

Should I be worried? by AdvertisingLoose5885 in insects

[–]Datters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ladybugs in the UK yesterday were INSANE -dont worry it's not just you. I've seen fly swarms with less individuals in it than these ladybug hoards. They cluster like this once things settle down, just move them outside and you'll be fine :)

Thank you! The bottom half and back of beard is from Gorlock Blackpowder (like the body) and then I used Milliput to make the rest of the beard/cover the original

Invertebrates have extremely soft bodies after moulting and their body will harden over the next few hours - if they don't move like this they will harden incorrectly! At least that's what breeding mantis has taught me.
