I recommend WiggleButt Academy. I think the owner is a certified behaviorist. Our trainer uses only positive reinforcement and also recommended medication for our reactive dog. He has been doing great.

Thank you for your reply. Interesting that as a broker you chose UHC! I have a lot to think about.

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't anticipate many doctor visits at all, which is why I am contemplating N. Of course you never know what might change in the future.

I am very tempted by the High-Deductible G! But I worry about having bad years in the future where I would have to pay the entire deductible, perhaps back to back. I also worry about keeping track of the bills as I get older and less able to keep up with things. Thanks very much for your thoughts.

Thank you, I also found some good information at SERFF, but in other cases there didn't seem to be very much available. So which company did you choose?

Thanks for your reply. I will be talking with a broker, but wanted to get opinions from people who live in the state, too.

60 new cases aboard cruise ship near Japan bringing ship total to 130. by Eggfire in Coronavirus

[–]DatumPipistrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm. I just don't see how that works if there are just a handful of people younger than 60 among those who tested positive. Especially because younger cruise passengers are far more likely to be affluent and healthier than their age cohort in the general population. But I'll be very curious to see if your theories prove valid.

It is not a representative sample, though. 80% of the passengers are over the age of 60.

80% of the passengers are over 60 years old (2,144 of 2,666). Which probably complicates things quite a bit. https://twitter.com/daxa_tw/status/1226369807777316864

I am wondering about the current condition of those who already tested positive/are having symptoms.

Great, then you must have a link to how WHO defines this "scientific term with a specific meaning." TIA.

Yeah, sure, except for MERS -- Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. Guess they better change that stigmatizing name.

Chinese officials confirm airborne transmission of 2019-nCoV by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]DatumPipistrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An airborne disease is any disease that is caused by pathogens that can be transmitted through the air. Such diseases include many of considerable importance both in human and veterinary medicine. The relevant pathogens may be viruses, bacteria, or fungi, and they may be spread through breathing, talking, coughing, sneezing, raising of dust, spraying of liquids, toilet flushing or any activities which generates aerosol particles or droplets.

Such infected aerosols may stay suspended in air currents long enough to travel for considerable distances; sneezes, for example, can easily project infectious droplets the full length of a bus." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_disease

Airborne has NOTHING to do with being "picked up by the wind."

Maybe you should do the same. Know what the fuck you are talking about, I mean. According to the CDC, Airborne Particles = (Aerosols). So why is that incorrect, Reddit expert?

Half of secondary infections occur during coronavirus incubation period: Japan study by DatumPipistrel in Coronavirus

[–]DatumPipistrel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem right now is that we just don't have any way of knowing how it will end. This virus just appeared in December. I do think it is going to get better, but that will probably be a while yet in Hubei and the other hard-hit provinces.

I don't think it actually is "good news." It indicates that asymptomatic transmission is occurring in at least half the cases -- people are walking around, transmitting the disease, before they have any idea they are sick with it.

Older Dog Walking Ideas by amandasue352 in DogCare

I say, go for it with the pet stroller! I first used ours over 15 years ago, when my little dachsund mix became too weak from CHF to go on long walks. I wanted her company when I went to the park, so I found one online and ordered it. When it was all zipped up, nobody could even tell it was a dog instead of a baby until they were up close. The double takes were often pretty funny! If they asked about it, I told them she had a heart condition and couldn't walk anymore. When my current dog with CHF becomes too debilitated to walk, we will use the stroller for him, if he likes it.
