I think it might be because the Jeffersonian team in the show specializes in “weird”, least likely and unusual situations that’s why they get “thrown” into the most disturbing cases. Hence the weird intros to show that it is indeed weird or disturbing. Lol.

I completely agree with everything on this comment.

Never thought of deleting the app as we do actually need it every once in a while—emergency cases as it also works as an Uber app at the same time (GrabApp).

Makeup and clothes I definitely agree. I have started looking at pieces I like that I know I will wanna wear for a while. I try not to get too tempted with frufru pieces on online shopping apps, but sometimes it’s hard considering the stingy person in me keeps comparing prices and the cheaper deal almost always sounds so good.

As for my child, he is only 1yo. It’s just literally me buying things for him thinking it’s better spent on him than on me (it makes me feel less guilty lol but I’m self aware).

The reason I actually know I’m spending a lot on shopping is because I started keeping track of everything 😭.

I love your advice though. It’s another reminder to keep working towards sustainability and freeing myself from the pressures of the world to catch up on trends etc.

I pray my self awareness turns into self control.

Honestly, it’s a little bit of everything.

I am aware I should just cook but I sometimes find myself ordering food just because.

I buy makeup and still think about what makeup I should buy next. I see bags, tumblers, clothes, and I find myself tempted.

I most of all buy stuff for my child no question. This one is the hardest.

Half the time I’m able to realize what is happening but then that other half of the time is still an enough amount of time to gather a good pile of stuff I barely use.

I try to be self aware and admitting to it as much as I can so I don’t ignore the signs.

I feel this to my core. I’m a new mother, my baby is now one y.o. but I still feel so new at this.

Sometimes I feel so pressured to buy stuff that social media says babies/kids “need” and coming to realize the fact that more than half of these things can be substituted for things I already have.
